Soy foods like tofu, soymilk, and soybeans contain phytoestrogens, which are weak plant estrogens. “If you are prone to high estrogen levels,” Kovac says, “eating a moderate amount of these foods should decrease your overall estrogen levels.” However, a lot more is not better. “If you begin to regularly eat too much soy, this can actually drive up your estrogen levels,” he adds.
