Be willing to learn.

Your kids will inevitably develop their own interests, and there's an excellent chance that their athletic obsessions won't sync up with your usual routine. This is a good thing. "My youngest son is more of a soccer guy," says Wade, who describes his own soccer skills as "terrible." "He's gotta teach me stuff, since I don't know anything about soccer," he admits. "I like it and I'm starting to get into it, so I'm trying to learn. My first teacher is my son. Normally, I might think you're just kicking the ball, but he taught me how you dribble the ball with your feet."
