2. Cut the Caffeine – and Booze

You knew this was coming. Alcohol is obvious, but caffeine has to go because it causes muscle tension, sleep disturbance, and irritates the stomach. If you're still not convinced, consider that it stimulates the same response in your body as stress – and can cause anxiety and irritability. Drink plenty of water, and limit yourself to one cup of green tea per day (green tea still has caffeine, though just 25 mg per cup, compared to coffee's 100 to 150 mg.)
