Honda premiers the first genuine crossover bike.

By Cannon Kinnard

Honda’s 595-pound DN-01 cruiser, equipped with the company’s own compact human-friendly transmission, lets you go from zero to 60 shiftlessly and switches to manual with the push of a button.  It’s unlike anything we’ve done,” says Honda’s Jon Seidel. “The transmission is a new level of smoothness.” The first genuine crossover bike, the DN-01 isn’t going to win any drag races, but it will get scooter riders on the proper bike. “We designed this bike to be more user friendly,” adds Seidel ($14,599; powersports.honda.com).
