Pedal Brain is an app/accessory that mounts your iPhone or iPod Touch on your handlebars and works with ANT+ wireless sensors to compile and analyze the largest amount of training and racing data of any device out there. Modeled after the similar Nike+, which tracks a user’s distance, pace, etc., on the iPhone and iPod, the Pedal Brain lets you download all tracked data to an online training log and coaching platform, where you can monitor and analyze your stats over time. Variables such as speed, cadence, power, and heart rate are amongst the data canvassed and examined by this first-of-its-kind tool. Friends, teammates, and coaches can also see your personal data log–if you give them access. Still not convinced? All data recorded is in real time, allowing for the best tracking and training possible, and a built-in GPS locates the position of your teammates or friends, during a race or just a simple joyride. ($169 to $199; pedalbrain.com).

With all the features, and this glowing review it seems like quite the handy gadget for the athletically inclined. Does the device work with anything other than bikes?
