On Tuesday, Page Six obtained photos of Russini and the two-time Coach of the Year hanging out on March 28. Vrabel has been married to his wife, Jen, since 1999. Russini and her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, tied the knot in 2020.

The images also sparked controversy because Russini and Vrabel were seen holding hands and sharing a hug. Vrabel told Page Six that it was simply an "innocent interaction" with The Athletic's NFL insider.

Popular sportswriter Dan Le Batard, a close friend of Russini's, addressed the controversy surrounding her and Vrabel during his show on Thursday. Le Batard was noticeably emotional while reluctantly discussing it (h/t Brandon Contes of Awful Announcing):

"Everybody’s asking me about Dianna Russini, wanting me to say something about Dianna Russini, and I’m like really uncomfortable. I’m really uncomfortable with all of this and sort of the dirtiness of what my profession has become. But then they do this, this thing that’s in public that I don’t want to give air because I haven’t talked to my friend...

She’s a journalist. Russini has frequently appeared on Le Batard's program, dating back to their time at ESPN.

Vrabel became head coach of the Patriots last year, replacing Jerod Mayo after his one-and-done tenure. Vrabel previously coached the Tennessee Titans from 2018 to 2023.

Russini signed with ESPN in 2015 and became part of their NFL coverage in 2017. She quickly emerged as one of the top NFL insiders during her tenure at the Worldwide Leader in Sports.

In 2023, Russini left ESPN to take an NFL insider position at The Athletic. She left ESPN just weeks after the company laid off a long list of notable on-air talents, including Steve Young, Suzy Kolber, Jalen Rose, Jeff Van Gundy and Max Kellerman.

Debuting Friday, April 10, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, Malcolm In the Middle: Life's Still Unfair reunites Hal, Lois, and their children as they continue to put the fun in dysfunctional. While Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Frankie Muniz, Justin Berfield, and Christopher Kennedy Masterson all returned for the new episodes, a few new faces have joined the family, too.

Erik Per Sullivan decided against returning as Dewey, instead choosing to focus on pursuing his Master’s at Harvard. Caleb Ellsworth-Clark replaced him, while Anthony Timpano plays an adult version of baby Jamie, and Vaughan Murrae joins the show as the family’s youngest child, after Lois learned she was pregnant in the original series finale.

Ahead of the premiere, Men’s Journal spoke with both Cranston and Kaczmarek about Per Sullivan’s decision to sit out the big reunion, as well as how their bond with their TV children continued in the two decades after the show went off the air.

Erik Per Sullivan Not Returning

The pair said it was Cranston who really pushed for new episodes, after fans continued to ask him what he thought happened after the finale. Eventually, after pestering creator Linwood Boomer enough, the revival started to come into focus.

“Everybody was over the moon, ready to go, except for Erik Per Sullivan,” Cranston told Men’s Journal. “I said, ‘Erik, it looks like we're doing the show.’ He says, ‘Fantastic!’ I go, ‘Oh, I’m glad you wanna do it!’ He said, ‘No, no, I don't want to do it. I’m just happy that you’re doing it.’ We lost him to academia.”

“I have to say, I respect that kid so much for knowing who he is, knowing that he’s so happy with what he’s doing, studying Dickens and Victorian literature,” added Kaczmarek. “Even if you throw a bucket of money at him, he says, ‘Thank you, I'm good.’ He’s my favorite American alive.”

Being TV Parents to Growing Boys

All three of the boys on the show were, well, boys when it first debuted. When the series premiered, Masterson was the oldest, at 19, Muniz was 14, while Berfield was only a couple of months younger than him. Per Sullivan, meanwhile, was just 8.

Cranston and Kaczmarek watched them all grow up over the six years and seven seasons that followed.

“Bryan used to bring Erik, who played Dewey, his parents lived out of town, and the mother would be here with him, and there were occasions where Bryan would take Dewey home with him for the weekend,” said Kaczmarek.

“That sounds like a to-go meal!" quipped Cranston, before his on-screen wife added, “I was like, I love those kids as much as any TV mom, but I’m not going to bring one home for the weekend!”

Cranston explained that his daughter, The Pitt star Taylor Dearden, was around the same age as Per Sullivan.

“And they were friends, so for Halloween and stuff, they would dress up and go off together,” he told Men’s Journal. "It was nice, it was good.”

“And they were good kids. Francis was horrible, the character, but all those boys, they were good kids on that show as teenagers,” added Kaczmarek. “None of them were getting into all the things teenagers get into these days. They were good kids.”

Praise for Adult Frankie Muniz

In the years since the show went off the air in 2006, Cranston said he’s had “varying degrees of being able to stay in contact” with their TV children.

“Yes, we’re the television parents, but I do feel a sense of parental pride for these boys and the men they have grown into being,” he continued. “They’re all fathers themselves, they get it, they realize the complexity of being a parent.”

“They were good kids and really good men now,” he added.

For Kaczmarek, one of the greatest “gifts” of the revival was seeing how much Muniz, in particular, has transformed since 2006.

“A great gift we had in doing this was seeing Frankie as a grown man and realizing what a terrific actor he is,” she shared. “He was great as Malcolm in the beginning, but Bryan and I both said there were a couple of scenes where we go, ‘This kid is doing terrific.’”

“Really nailing it," Cranston agreed.

“And this kid has been racing cars and a million other things. But like, have you ever considered acting?” Kaczmarek joked. “You might want to reconsider. I think you might have a future in this!”

After multiple years of radio silence, production has finally ramped up to begin filming, and new players are joining the cast of the sequel. Oscar-nominated and Marvel alumni actors Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson have both been confirmed as core members of this next chapter.

Stan has been confirmed to be playing Gotham District Attorney Harvey Dent, who is often transformed into the villain Two-Face. Johansson’s role is still unconfirmed, but it is heavily rumored to be Gilda Dent, wife of Harvey. Gilda has never been depicted in live action but is crucial in comics like Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.

The announcement of Stan’s casting as the tragic villain was met with probably the most universal rejoicing from fans that you will ever see for a comic-book movie casting. However, two months from the start of filming, some fans are concerned about the physical appearance of the actor playing Gotham’s DA.

Thursday, the film FJORD, starring Stan, was unveiled to be premiering at the Cannes Film Festival in May. From first looks, the traditionally heartthrob actor is completely bald without the use of prosthetics. His head was shaved for the role.

Photos of Stan this week, walking the streets of New York, show that he currently is at buzz-cut level of regrowth. With filming on The Batman 2 commencing soon, many are wondering what that means for his appearance in the film.

Dent is almost exclusively portrayed as a charismatic character with good looks. This is exactly what moviegoers are used to with Stan from roles like Bucky Barnes in the MCU, A Different Man and Fresh.

Character design is unknown at this point, but fans definitely have a specific vision for what they want Reeves’ Harvey Dent to look like.

Stan will be the third actor to play Dent in a live-action Batman movie, following in the footsteps of Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight (2008) and Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever (1995).

Actor Patrick Ball, who plays Dr. Frank Langdon on The Pitt, talked to Cultured Magazineabout how being cast in the hit drama saved him from $80,000 worth of student loan debt.

Patrick Ball Student Loans Were Cleared Thanks to ‘The Pitt’

“I paid off my student loans like three months into The Pitt, and that was a really profound moment because I thought I was gonna die with it,” Ball explained. 

“It’s a huge burden to carry, and a lot of people carry it. I was $80,000 in debt, and I had been through a series of failed relationships where my financial insecurity was a real problem. I had just thought that was going to be my life forever, and that is a really heavy thing to live with.”

Ball continued: “Paying off those student loans and getting back to zero, I remember being like, ‘Man, if this show works, great. If it doesn’t work, they can’t take that away from me. I am out of debt.’ No take-backsies on that.” 

Before landing his role on The Pitt, the up-and-coming actor shared that he balanced various odd jobs.

“I was working at a coffee shop, I was working at a restaurant, I was working as a wardrobe assistant for And Just Like That, I was doing these corporate coaching seminars,” Ball said. 

“I don’t think I’ve told anybody this story, but I was doing these seminars where they’d bring me into Blackrock and Blackstone and Goldman Sachs, and they would want to teach these young administrators how to have difficult conversations, à la how to fire somebody. Noah Wyle Has One Burning Question for George Clooney

Veteran actor Noah Wyle, who leads The Pitt as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, recently asked, “Why doesn’t George ever put me in one of his movies?” during an interview with Kate Thornton on the UK radio show Greatest Hits Radio.

Thornton brought up remarks Clooney shared with Entertainment Tonight in November 2025 during the interview. At that time, Clooney expressed his delight regarding Noah Wyle's starring turn in the show.

Clooney previously shared with Entertainment Tonight, "If I'm allowed to be, I am so deeply, deeply proud of Noah". When asked about a potential guest role on The Pitt to "get back in the ER," Clooney enthusiastically replied, "In a heartbeat." Wyle offered a playful retort, suggesting it might be "perhaps his last heartbeat".

“You see how I keep ducking that question?… He doesn’t really want to come on The Pitt,” he said. “Suddenly, I’m on a hit show, he wants to come and play. The last 15 years, where has he been? Ocean’s 12, 13, I never made the cut.”

Both George Clooney and Noah Wyle rose to prominence as stars of the medical drama ER. Clooney portrayed Dr. Doug Ross from 1994 until 1999, while Wyle's tenure as Dr. John Carter lasted from 1994 to 2005, a period during which he achieved significant television stardom.

The collision happened in the bottom of the eighth inning with the score tied 1-1. Minnesota's Josh Bell led off the inning with a shallow fly ball to left-center, and both Greene and Meadows came charging hard for it. Greene made the catch, but the two outfielders collided head-to-head on the play, sending both players tumbling to the grass. Meadows landed on his back in a daze, barely moving with his hands pointed up and blood coming out of his mouth. The collision reportedly caused him to bite the inside of his mouth, which led to the bleeding.

Medical personnel surrounded Meadows for several minutes before he was able to sit up. He was slowly helped to his feet and placed on a cart that took him off the field. Manager A.J. Hinch confirmed postgame that Meadows has a concussion and has been sent to the hospital for overnight observation.

"We're going to get him checked out for everything, but this one worries me," Hinch said.

Greene, who stayed in the game after the collision, was visibly shaken when speaking to reporters afterward.

"It's a terrible feeling. I still feel terrible," Greene said. "He hit my head. I don't know where I hit him, to be honest, but I just really hope he's OK."

The Tigers fell 3-1 and were swept in the four-game series. Updates on Meadows' condition are expected Friday.

Walter White, Tony Soprano, and so many other bad men just kept declining as their series went on. They started with a gray area and gradually broke bad until there was nothing left in their souls.

Omni-Man was already in the depths of immorality at the start of this series; he just didn't show it to his loved ones right away. He then moves in the opposite direction of his anti-hero forefathers. With every good deed and genuine sign of fatherhood that Nolan displays, he erases some part of his evil past and reveals to himself and those around him that he possessed more good in his destiny than he may have originally imagined.

Day's hoodie, part of Malbon's "Birds of Georgia" apparel line, was inspired by the local birds of Augusta National Golf Club.

"If you are on the course and you are tuned in with nature and know the sounds of birds, you'll make more birdies," company founder Stephen Malbon told Sports Illustrated. "It's inspired by Native American beliefs. Each one of these birds has a different meaning. I've been sending the noises of the birds to Jason for the last six months. Hopefully, he's trying to stay in touch with nature."

Day signed on as Malbon Golf's first brand ambassador in 2024. At the 2024 Masters, tournament officials asked him to remove a flashy vest during the middle of his second round.

Day finished his first round with a 3-under 69. He's currently tied with Kurt Kitayama, Patrick Reed and Justin Rose in third place, trailing tournament leaders Sam Burns and Rory McIlroy.

The first two Dune films have been a bigger triumph than the French-Canadian director could have ever imagined as a boy fantasizing about making a movie of his favorite book. Neither entry in the franchise has broken box office records, but both films have been very strong performers. Part One grossed $410 million in 2021 (during COVID-19), and Part Two brought in $715 million at the worldwide box office in 2024.

The achievement of Villeneuve's adaptation has little to do with dollar signs. His two-part realized vision of Frank Herbert's original story is widely considered among the greatest sci-fi films of the 21st century.

Having such a strong connection and history with the source material, it was important to Villeneuve to create the most faithful book-to-screen film he could. Because of Herbert’s feelings about how readers interpreted Dune, the director, who also co-wrote both screenplays, decided to fundamentally change one of the biggest characters.

Chani, who is played by Zendaya in the films, serves as Paul Atreides’ love interest in both the book and the movies. However, in the 1965 novel, Chani is one of Paul’s most loyal and unswayable followers. She has an inextinguishable fire in her belief that Paul is the Lisan al-Gaib, the Fremen messiah. For his films, Villeneuve made the bold choice of transforming Chani from Paul’s biggest believer into his biggest skeptic. The Fremen warrior still loves Timothée Chalamet’s character in the movies, but she does not believe in the prophecy that he is a messiah for her people. While almost all the Fremen begin to follow Paul as their savior, Chani’s beliefs serve as the audience’s counterargument, leading viewers to question the validity of the prophecy.

In a post-screening discussion of Dune: Part Two, Villeneuve described how it was more important to be true to Herbert’s intentions for the story than to the details of the story itself.

“When Frank Herbert wrote Dune, and when the book came out, he felt that readers misunderstood him,” Villeneuve explained. “People saw Dune as a celebration of Paul Atreides, but he wanted the book to be a warning regarding messianic figures. In my adaptation, specifically in Part Two, I’m trying to be faithful to the book, but more, I’m trying to be faithful to Frank Herbert’s wishes and desires.”

Villeneuve continued, “Chani, in the second part of the book, kind of disappeared in Paul’s shadow. The character becomes less interesting. I thought there was a strong opportunity there to create a character who would give us a new perspective on Paul in order to get closer to Frank Herbert’s intentions.”

Villeneuve has discussed numerous times that his and Herbert’s intention was to portray Paul as a dark figure, not a hero to be worshipped. Both wanted to tell a story about the dangers of charismatic leaders and absolute power. Changing the character of Chani helped make Herbert's intentions more prevalent.

Dune: Part Three hits theaters Dec. 18. Adapting Herbert’s follow-up novel, Dune: Messiah, Villeneuve has cited the book as Herbert’s response to audiences misinterpreting the story’s lead character.

Hacks, the HBO series following the pair's unlikely friendship as they attempt to survive the often-cruel comedy circuit, will air the first episode of its fifth and final season on Thursday, April 9.

In the aftermath of mistaken and unflattering news reports that she passed away, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) return to Las Vegas, Season 5's official logline states. Season 5 sees the pair "more determined than ever to secure Deborah’s legacy as a comedian."

The 10-episode season will debut one episode per week on HBO Max, with two new episodes on April 30 and May 7, leading up to the series finale on Thursday, May 28, according to the network's official press release.

For her role as the fledgling Las Vegas stand-up, Jean Smart has won four consecutive Emmys for her unforgettable lead performance. Hannah Einbinder, who similarly has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for all four previous seasons, finally took home the well-deserved award at last year's ceremony.

In the upcoming season, the duo will be joined by Paul W. Downs (Broad City), Megan Stalter (Too Much), Carl Clemons-Hopkins (Candyman), Mark Indelicato (Ugly Betty), and Rose Abdoo (Gilmore Girls). "We are incredibly honored to be ending Hacks this season exactly as we pitched it seven years ago," the trio said in a joint statement posted by Paul last month.

"We can't thank HBO Max & Universal enough for letting us tell this story just as we hoped to tell it. We know that's a rare thing, and we are beyond grateful. And it wouldn't have been possible without our incredible cast, crew, and writers - we are indebted to them for taking what was a dream of ours and making it come true," they added.

"Though it's hard to say goodbye, in true Deborah Vance style, we didn't wanna run the light. And most of all, thank you to everyone who's watched the show and recommended it to a friend. This season is for you. We hope you love watching the final chapter as much as we loved making it."

Lyonne — who joined Euphoria's cast as a guest star — was spotted in her first class seat wearing the same black stockings and wraparound shades from the premiere, paired with sneakers and a long black coat. According to a witness, she appeared "out of it" and did not respond when flight attendants repeatedly asked her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt for takeoff. Her laptop was eventually taken from her hand, and the plane taxied to the runway before turning back to the gate.

A Delta staffer then boarded the plane and asked Lyonne if she needed medical attention before telling her the plane would not be going anywhere until she got off. When asked where they were, Lyonne was told they were still in Los Angeles.

She shushed the gate agent, then calmly got up, went to the bathroom, emerged eating a bag of pretzels, and got off the plane — her luggage having already been removed.

The captain addressed the delayed passengers after she departed. "We have a passenger who for whatever reason wouldn't follow some basic commands," he said. "We had a passenger who didn't seem up to the task tonight so that's why they were asked to be booked on another flight."

The flight departed without further incident approximately one hour late.

For her part, Lyonne was agitated that her flight snafoo caused her to miss her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. Fans of the original series will recall that Hal was always madly in love with his wife Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), cared deeply for his sons, and, of course, was incredibly quirky. In a recent interview for the highly anticipated reboot of the series, Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, Cranston suggests that not much has changed for Hal from the original series to the reboot, and viewers can expect to see a signature hallmark of the character in the new episodes. Oddly though, it’s this hallmark that has Cranston already apologizing to potential viewers of the reboot.

While at a red carpet premiere event for Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, Entertainment Tonight’s Emily Curl spoke to Cranston about the new series. During their conversation, Curl questions, “Hal, he really is an unpredictable dad to say the least. When you signed on, how prepared were you to revisit Hal and revisit this character? Were you game for anything?”

In response, Cranston replies: 

“Oh, I know the ethos of Malcolm in the Middle, which is, Hal’s going to be naked at some point during this thing. And in fact, we get it twice. Hal is going to be naked twice. I’d like to apologize ahead of time for all the viewers. Turn away. Cover your kids' eyes. But yeah, it happens.”

Now, fans of the original series know that Hal definitely was not afraid to be in the nude. In fact, I can recall him being naked and Lois shaving his body hair in the kitchen in one of the earlier episodes. A scene that is duplicated for the most part in Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair. Take a look at the interview below.

The collision happened in the bottom of the eighth inning at Minneapolis with the score tied 1-1. Minnesota's Josh Bell sent a fly ball into left-center field, and both Greene and Meadows came charging hard for it. Greene caught the ball, but the two outfielders collided violently on the play. Greene got up immediately and went to check on his teammate, but Meadows stayed on the ground for several minutes, surrounded by athletic trainers.

He eventually sat up slowly, got to his feet, and was taken off the field on a golf cart — bleeding from his mouth — with two EMS workers following the cart into the tunnel. Broadcast footage appeared to show their heads making contact, which would explain the bleeding.

The Tigers will almost certainly place Meadows in concussion protocol, with an injured list stint to follow. The roster move is straightforward: Wenceel Pérez, who was optioned ahead of Opening Day and has been mashing in Triple-A, gets his season debut under circumstances nobody wanted.

The video stitched together views from multiple cameras on the Orion spacecraft to compile a breathtaking depiction of the exceedingly unique sight.

The four-person Artemis II crew, featuring astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen, captured thousands of images of the moon during their lunar flyby.

"This continues to be unreal. The sun has gone behind the moon and the corona is still visible. It's bright and creates a halo almost around the entire moon," Glover said when describing their view of the solar eclipse.

Thursday is Artemis II's last full day in space as the crew prepares to return to Earth. The spacecraft will re-enter the Earth's atmosphere on Friday and the astronauts are expected to splash down off the coast of San Diego at about 8 p.m. ET.

Burns eagled the par-5 on hole No. 2, beginning what would be a stellar first round for the 29-year-old PGA Tour star. His finished Round 1 with a 67, carding five birdies or better, 11 pars and just one bogey.

This 5-under 67 marked the lowest round of Burns' Masters career. This is his fifth career appearance at Augusta National, where he notched his best finish of T29 in 2023.

Burns is married to Caroline Campbell, who he met at church when they were five years old in Shreveport, Louisiana. The two went to different high schools in their hometown, but reconnected and began their romantic relationship while attending Louisiana State University.

"We’ve really known each other forever,” Campbell said in an interview with WJCL. “I was his first Valentine when we were five years old.”

Burns and Campbell dated for four years before getting engaged on April 19, 2019. The five-time PGA Tour winner popped the question during the 2019 RBC Heritage golf tournament, which takes place in South Carolina the week after the Masters.

According to a report by Broadcast Now, a planned on-screen television series and movie based on all 22 books of the cult children's fantasy series have been dropped altogether. The novels, which followed the adventures of anthropomorphic animals living in the fictional land of Redwall Abbey, were written by English author Brian Jacques between 1986 and 2011, upon the writer's death the same year.

Fans will likely be disappointed by this news, but likely not surprised — the adaptations were announced back in February 2021, and little to no news regarding their development has surfaced since. Some early concept art for a film was released in 2025 (per What's on Netflix), but the progression of the project has been slow at best. The deal between Netflix and Penguin Random House was a major one, giving the streamer complete access to adapt the entire series for both film and television.

 Patrick McHale, the famed animator and co-creator of the cult Cartoon Network series Over the Garden Wall, was attached to the adaptation when it was announced back in 2021, and was touted to write the script for a film focused on the first Redwall book. However, McHale is said to have exited the project the following year, according to What's on Netflix.

As for the series, said to be an animated adaptation following the adventures of Martin the Warrior, co-founder of Redwall Abbey, it also appears to have been dropped by the streamer, if reports are anything to go by. Unlike the planned film, however, no concept art or news regarding a filmmaker or writer was released to the public for the limited series.

The Center for Forensic Science Research and Education says that these types of drugs first emerged in the recreational drug markets in 2020 and are the cause of the uptick in fatal drug overdoses, according to toxicology reports. Which States Are Hit Hardest By the Cychlorphine Crisis?

Some parts of East Tennessee are being hit pretty hard. The Knox County Regional Forensic Center linked this party drug to at least 41 deaths across 11 counties between July 2025 and February 2026.

“What’s especially troubling is that cychlorphine may have been circulating far longer than we know,” said Chris Thomas, chief administrative officer and director of the Knox County Regional Forensic Center, in a Facebook post. “And I’ve said this before; we don’t know if it’s contained to a limited supply or one bad batch, or if it’s representative of a longer-term shift in the drug supply. That’s what is really concerning.”

“It has never been more dangerous to take street-level drugs than right now,” Thomas added.

Health officials in Florida, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and South Carolina have also issued warnings. The drug appears easy to obtain, and it’s spreading to other areas.

"This is poison, plain and simple," said South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, in a news release.

"Parents need to understand how serious this is and talk to their kids now, because one mistake, one exposure, can be fatal. We will use every tool at our disposal to stop this and protect South Carolina families."

Patrons flooded through the gates at Augusta National on Monday, the first day of Masters week. While most tournament goers presented their tickets for the iconic golf event, one man did not.

Matthew Stroud, 36, was arrested for refusing to leave the property after entering Augusta National's hallowed grounds without a ticket. The Easley, South Carolina native was "intoxicated" when he arrived at Augusta National’s North Gate on Monday, according to a report from The Augusta Press.

Stroud was asked to leave the property at around 11:00 a.m. local time on Monday after deputies said he was approaching patrons outside the North Gate asking for tickets to the practice round.

Stroud initially left the area when asked to do so, Richmond County Sheriff’s Capt. Scott Gay told The Augusta Press. He was arrested for criminal trespassing after his refusal to leave a second time.

Stroud was taken to the Charles B. Webster Detention Center, where he was booked and eventually released on a $285 bond.

Dozens of golfers will vie for the prestigious green jacket given to the winner on Sunday evening, and a major champion is making headlines for his unorthodox approach to this year's event.

Two-time major champion and LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau announced that he would be playing with a 3D-printed 5-iron during this weekend's tournament, a bold move from one of the sport's most interesting and unique minds.

"There's this nature that I have about myself where innovation is a habit of mine, and I really find and take pride in that ability to learn - even through failure, even through making a bad decision or a good decision - what I can get from that," DeChambeau said ahead of Thursday's first round, per ESPN.

The former U.S. Open champion expressed confidence in his game ahead of the Masters, saying that he felt like his play was "in the best place of [his] career" and that he was excited to see what he could do against the best in the world.

DeChambeau earned a career-best fifth-place finish at Augusta last year, improving on sixth place from a year prior. He missed the cut in 2022 and 2023, missteps he attributes to strategy and his approach to the course.

Prior to the 2020 Masters, DeChambeau said that he intended to approach Augusta as a "par 67" course, taking five shots off the actual par of 72.

"I can reach all the par-5s in 2, no problem. If the conditions stay the way they are, that's what I feel like par is for me. That's not me being bigheaded. I can hit it as far as I want to," he said at the time.

"If I see him out there and he can be on top of the plane and he can hit some cuts, I'd go, 'OK, you found it, you're on your way there.'"

DeChambeau's Unconventional Approach

DeChambeau finished tied for 34th that year, and has walked back those comments in subsequent trips to the course. He's also attributed his recent success to a more patient approach, including taking more of his caddie's suggestions.

DeChambeau's decision to play with a 3D-printed club is also consistent with his reputation as a "scientist" within golf. He studies courses meticulously to find the most efficient shots, and has played with a set of same-length irons for his entire professional career.

DeChambeau has said that keeping all of his irons the same length - 37.5 inches, or the same as a standard 7-iron - produces a repeatable swing. Replicating his mechanics across his entire set of irons ensures that he's able to get consistent, predictable results.

This centuries-old South American drink is made by steeping the leaves of the yerba mate plant in hot water to create a beverage known as mate. The A-Lister, who made a name for himself playing "Average Joes," turns 72 on Thursday.

Quaid was born on April 9, 1954, in Houston, Texas. After dropping out of the University of Houston in the mid-1970s, the aspiring actor moved to Hollywood to take a shot at stardom. His big break came with 1983's historical drama, The Right Stuff, which flopped at the box office but went on to win four Academy Awards.

He would go on to star in such modern classics as The Big Easy (1987), Great Balls of Fire! (1989), The Parent Trap (1998), Any Given Sunday (1999), Traffic (2000) and The Rookie (2002).

Quaid reflected on working into his 70s at the Big Screen Achievement Awards in 2024. "To tell you the truth, I really do feel like I have more fun," he said. "I enjoy [acting] now more than when I was young and hungry — not trying to get anywhere. I do it because I love it and that makes me kind of the luckiest guy on Earth, to tell you the truth."

Quaid recently starred in the Paramount+ series Happy Face and the Netflix film War Machine.

Quaid is also a father of three. He shares twins Thomas and Zoe (born 2007) with ex-wife Kimberly Buffington. His first son, Jack (born 1992), certainly seems to have caught the acting bug from Quaid and Jack's mother, Meg Ryan. Jack Quaid stars in the Amazon series The Boys.

Every year, fans are blown away by these concession prices.

"That’s cheaper than most High School football concession prices!!" another said.

While these concession prices are unusually low, tickets for the Masters can cost thousands of dollars. These food and beverage prices are stunningly cheap from the outside, but most patrons are spending big to get on the grounds at Augusta National.

The swift renewal did not come off as a surprise, as the pilot episode was a major success for the network. Within three days of its release, the first episode reached 2.4 million viewers in the United States. Since then, the series has averaged 5.8 million U.S. viewers per episode, making it the most-watched comedy debut for HBO in more than a decade.

Currently, five of the ten episodes have aired, with new episodes released every Sunday.

They executive produce alongside Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer (for Lawrence's production company Doozer), Jonathan Krisel, Barbie Adler, Annie Mebane, David Stassen, Anthony King, David Hyman, and Steve Carell.

Lawrence has been working with Warner Bros. on his recent projects, including Apple TV+'s Shrinking and Ted Lasso, with the studio lending him to work on the upcoming Scrubs revival for Disney and ABC.

The season finale is set to air on May 10 on HBO and HBO Max.

Details are scarce, but the newly revealed series might be a game-changer in the next few years, and could find Powell venturing into the territory of Taylor Sheridan, not just being known as an actor, but as a producer of big shows. Plus, with a Texas setting, it seems like the new Prime Video series is following a trend set by Sheridan's Landmanand the upcoming series Dutton Ranch.

Here's what we know so far about the upcoming Prime Video series, Calamities.

What is Calamities?

According to the press release from Prime Video, this is the premise of the new show: "Calamities is a gripping and propulsive Texas crime thriller like no other. After a drug deal explodes into violence, a quiet border town is thrust into a deadly collision course between a small-town sheriff looking for answers from her past, a sociopathic hit woman, an overly eager FBI agent, and a ruthless sect of the cartel."

According to Amazon's Head of Global Television, Peter Friedlander, "Calamities is the unique character-rich thriller that doesn’t blink...David Weil has crafted a story that knocks the wind out of you, and we're beyond excited to support him, Natalie, Glen, and Dan in bringing it to life on Prime."

Weil is probably best known as the showrunner of the spy thriller Citadel, as well as the sci-fi series Invasion.

Is Glen Powell starring in Calamities?

As of this writing, the cast for Calamities has not been revealed. When Men's Journal reached out to Prime Video for confirmation about the cast, they made it clear that the cast was not public information at this time. So, Powell might be the lead in this show, or he might not.

The show's streaming debut on Prime Video has not yet been confirmed.

“Rory: The Heartache and Triumph of Golf’s Most Human Superstar,” took aim at McIlroy's past relationships and current golf stardom.

His marriage with Erica Stoll, failed engagement with Caroline Wozniacki and close friendship with CBS golf reporter Amanda Balionis were central to the book.

In the new book, Shipnuck recounts how McIlroy and Stoll, a PGA of America employee at the time, met in 2012 at the Ryder Cup. Gossip allegedly spread quickly about McIlroy flirting with Stoll after she helped get him a police escort because he was running late.

“He was throwing every ounce of game he had at Erica,” one employee says in the book, according to the Daily Mail. “It was not subtle. It became a running joke among a few of us: Has Rory closed the deal yet?”

Group chats among staffers described McIlroy as “smitten” and were full of “winking emojis.”

McIlroy and Wozniacki were engaged in December 2013 but the now five-time major champion broke things off after just five months. He began dating his current wife just a few months afterword according to the book, though they didn't go public until two years later in 2015.

Stoll is described in the book as “quiet by nature” by former European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley.

In the midst of rumors about their divorce, Stoll reportedly spent more time at home while McIlroy and Balionis became “the talk of the links,” as the Daily Mail reported at the time.

Shipnuck's book poured cold water on those rumors, with sources close to the two saying their relationship never became romantic.

“The short-lived divorce proceedings and hasty reconciliation said more about him than her,” he wrote, per the Daily Mail.

“If you are an internationally famous athlete heading toward becoming a billionaire, it is probably unwise to file for divorce unless you are one million percent certain there is zero chance to save the marriage," he added.

“But McIlroy’s life has been defined by impetuousness, on the golf course and in matters of business and romance. The recklessness is part of what makes him appealing.”

Per Deadline, Bird said in a director's statement that the film has been on his mind "for over 30 years." "The film is a blend of sci-fi and classic detective movies from the '40s ... it's Maltese Falcon meets Buck Rogers. I've been a fan of both of those sort of genres, and blending them together seemed fun and a chance to play with a lot of very cinematic elements and extreme characters. There's a big chunk of people who don't watch animation. That's a group I'm anxious to persuade because it's an amazing art form that is way too limited in people's minds. Animation as a medium is too interesting to limit what kind of stories can be told."

In addition to The Incredibles and Ratatouille, Bird is the screenwriter and director behind 2015's George Clooney-led Tomorrowland, and 1999's The Iron Giant. Bird brought The Incredibles 2 to life in 2018, and he'll write the script for Incredibles 3, directed by Peter Sohn, which is on track for a 2028 release.

Johansson can next be seen headlining Mike Flanagan's The Exorcist, which will hit theaters in 2027, while Rockwell stars opposite John Malkovich in this fall's Wild Horse Nine.

Ray Gunn will premiere on Netflix sometime this year.

While his focus is on NFL football, Kelce's reach has expanded to other sports.

Kelce made his debut in the golf broadcasting world at a TGL event last month. And last week, ESPN announced that the seven-time NFL Pro Bowler would continue his coverage at the 2026 Masters Tournament.

"Coverage of the beloved Masters Par 3 Contest begins Wednesday at noon, with two exclusive hours on the ESPN App and Disney+, followed by two additional hours on ESPN at 2 p.m., hosted by SportsCenter anchor Scott Van Pelt with Smith and ESPN NFL analyst Jason Kelce conducting interviews with players and their families," ESPN announced.

Kelce made an appearance at Augusta National Golf Club on Wednesday to serve as an on-course reporter for the annual Par 3 Contest.

The Masters is rooted in tradition, with strict rules and regulations that span its 90-year history. As such, many golf purists aren't happy with Kelce's inclusion at this year's historic event.

"There's gotta be some kind of petition we can sign to make this stop," one fan wrote.

"ESPN used to be Stuart Scott, Chris Berman, Rick Eisen and so many others that built careers with charisma and talent," another said.

American golfer Patrick Reed holds an early tournament lead with a 5-under score through his first nine holes of the tournament. Tommy Fleetwood holds second place at 4-under through nine.

Researchers looked at over 5 million days of data and found that even a modest amount of alcohol caused resting heart rates to climb and heart rate variability (a sign of how well your body handles stress) to drop. It also led to shorter nights of sleep and less physical activity the next day.

Here's what the data and the experts say is happening inside your body, and what you can do about it if you still want to enjoy a drink.

What One Drink Actually Does Overnight

The study used a within-person design comparing each person’s drinking nights to their sober nights, which means each WHOOP member acted as their own control (something a lot of traditional alcohol research doesn't do).

"Instead of comparing different people to each other…we compared people to themselves," explains Greg Grosicki, PhD, Staff Research Scientist at WHOOP and lead author of the study. By doing this, they could see how alcohol impacts people without age, fitness, or sex muddying the results.

They were able to draw a clear line showing that the more you drink, the higher your heart rate climbs while you sleep, and the more your recovery markers tank. Plus, you end up sleeping less and moving around less the next day. 

Grabbing just one more drink than usual caused sleeping heart rate to jump by about 2.8 beats per minute for women, and 2.4 for men, while heart rate variability dropped 3.8 ms in women and 3.3 ms in men. These numbers show something pretty telling, as Grosicki explains, "a higher RHR and lower HRV represent a shift toward a sympathetic state or our 'fight or flight' response," he says. "Instead of relaxing during sleep, our body is working harder, which is why we wake up the next day feeling tired and less rested."

In general, out of everything the researchers tracked, heart rate variability took the biggest hit. Grosicki pointed out that just a couple of drinks can drop it by 20 to 30 percent, and the more you drink, the worse it gets. And these results are nothing new. Previous research has shown much of the same.

Why Sleep Feels Fine but Recovery Tanks

Plenty of guys swear a nightcap helps them fall asleep faster, but the wearable data and sleep specialists make it obvious that it doesn't necessarily play out well the next day.

"Eight hours sleeping after a night of heavy drinking is not eight hours of recovery," says Eric Zhou, PhD, Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School's Division of Sleep Medicine. Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant, so it can knock you out fast, then shred the architecture of your sleep as your liver works through it.

"Alcohol is a sedative, not a sleep aid," says Funke Afolabi-Brown, MD, a triple board-certified sleep medicine physician. She explains that alcohol suppresses REM sleep (the dream-heavy stage tied to mood and memory) in the first half of the night and reduces deep sleep, which "limits the ability of the body to get the reparative benefits of sleep, such as hormonal repair, memory consolidation, muscle recovery, and improved metabolism."

She adds that alcohol can also make snoring and sleep apnea worse, piling on more daytime fatigue.

Carlos Nunez, MD, Chief Medical Officer at ResMed, says it's about brain chemistry. Alcohol boosts GABA, a calming neurotransmitter that acts like a sedative, pushing you into non-REM sleep early in the night. As your body processes the alcohol, that effect reverses, and sleep becomes lighter and more fragmented. You'll wake up multiple times a night, but fall back asleep so quickly you won't remember them, which is why you can swear you slept through the night and still feel wrecked in the morning.

Women and Younger Drinkers Take the Bigger Hit

The study found that alcohol doesn't impact everyone the same way. Women generally experienced more significant disruptions than men, even when accounting for differences in body size. Younger adults also saw a more negative impact on their recovery markers compared to older people.

Women are likely more impacted by alcohol due to their physiology. They typically have less water in their bodies to dilute the alcohol and fewer enzymes in the stomach to break it down before it hits the bloodstream. So, even with the same number of drinks, women often end up with more alcohol in their systems than men.

When it comes to age, Grosicki explains that younger people's bodies are more sensitive to the stress of alcohol, which is why they see bigger dips in recovery. On the other hand, older people's bodies might already be stressed more regularly, making the sudden spike from alcohol feel less dramatic.

Habits That Can Soften the Blow
