Got a scooter and an unquenchable thirst to risk your neck careening through the snow? Just replace its front wheel with a short snowboard, the back wheel with a low-pressure studded tire, and – voila! – your sensible urban transport is now a 35-hp snow beast. Braking requires dragging feet and sometimes crashing, but why slow down? Packages ranging from basic to race-worthy are available from RiminiMoto (from $650; slidescooters.com). And when the snow melts, simply pop the tire on again and your sissified hog will be back in action.
