Saturday 12 PM Vanderbilt vs. #9 Auburn
The Tigers lost two of their first three and were essentially written off at that point, despite the fact that the two losses were competitive contests against #2 Clemson and #4 Texas A&M. No one's writing off Auburn now, following five straight victories over stiff competition. They may only be the second best team in Alabama, but there aren't too many others playing better nationwide. A home game against the 4-4 Commodores should represent a respite of sorts, although Vandy did pull off a scrappy upset of Georgia on the road a few weeks back. Still, all eyes should now be trained on the November 26th Iron Bowl, where hard men from the Yellowhammer State will meet and determine the fate of the college football postseason, as it should be.
