Saturday, 3:30 PM: Indiana at #3 Michigan
Of the three seismic upsets that occurred last week, the one that surprised me the most was Iowa knocking off Jim Harbaugh's marauding Wolverines in a 14-13 defensive struggle. Iowa isn't terrible, but they were coming off a 27 point loss to Penn State and hadn't given any particular indication that they were the team best qualified to slow down what had to date been a nasty Ann Arbor juggernaut. Indiana is similar to Iowa — in so many ways, one of which is their football teams. Both are well coached and almost unfailingly competitive — the Hoosiers played Penn State mostly even last week before finally succumbing to a late defensive touchdown. Suddenly trapped in a complicated Big 10 logjam and with Ohio State looming, the manic, square-jawed Harbaugh cannot afford to let his squad suffer another letdown. If only for his own sanity.
