Saturday, 8 PM: #9 Oklahoma at #14 West Virginia
Who against who now? In what may be the sleeper game of the week, two lingering contenders seek to burnish their bona fides in the event that all hell breaks loose at the top of the rankings. Hotly tipped before the season, Oklahoma lost two of its first three, but they've been on a roll since with seven straight wins, including quality victories over Texas, Texas Tech, and Baylor. Meanwhile the 8-1 Mountaineers have been solid all season, and, save for a loss on the road at difficult Oklahoma State, they would be in the teeth of the playoff conversation. Dana Holgorsen's team has been impressive, particularly on defense, but they lack a signature victory. A home win against the Sooners would provide that. The winner can keep on dreaming big.
