Thursday, 5:30 PM: Belk Bowl Arkansas vs, #18 Virginia Tech
Bret Bielema's Razorbacks were up and down all season — they literally have alternated wins and losses every week since September 24, a string of nine straight games. That's very odd. Depending on whether it's the version of Arkansas that crushed Florida 31-10 or the one that got crushed by Auburn by 53 points the previous week, they should be able to get some things done in the Belk Bowl. And who doesn't want to get things done in the Belk Bowl? Comparatively speaking, Justin Fuentes' Hokies have been a model of consistency — they had won five of six before succumbing to Clemson in a competitive ACC title game. They didn't have anything close to Arkansas's quality of competition, and as ever, it will be interesting to compare a relatively top tier ACC team to an SEC also-ran. Tech is favored and Arkansas has a habit of no-showing, but the Razorbacks may have the better talent top to bottom. They are a very live dog.
