Thursday, 9 PM: Alamo Bowl #13 Oklahoma State vs. #11 Colorado
Look, there's no such thing as a bad Alamo Bowl, but this is a really fantastic Alamo Bowl. Mike Gundy's Cowboys finished the year as one of the hottest teams in the nation, rattling off seven straight victories before losing to rival Oklahoma in a razor-thin contest to end the season. They boast impressive wins over Pittsburgh, Kansas State, and West Virginia and are undoubtedly one of the ten best teams in the country as the dust settles. Pac 12 runners-up Colorado also boast a tremendous 2016 resume, having compiled a 10-3 record with wins over Stanford, Washington State, and Utah. How they respond to a dispiriting beat-down loss to Washington in the Pac 12 Championship Game will likely have a great deal to do with the outcome here. The Buffs have been tough on defense all year, and will need to be so again in order to keep the Oklahoma State offense in check. The Alamo Bowl figures to be memorable. This may be the most intriguing postseason match-up so far.
