Tuesday, 10:15 PM: Cactus Bowl Boise State vs. Baylor
One of the genuine pleasures of the 2016 campaign has been watching Baylor's unimaginably bad karma finally take root in a humiliating six-game losing streak to end the season. For a university that callously turned a blind eye to the disgraceful exploits of its program, the comeuppance after a 6-0 start puts a lilt in one's step. In the Cactus Bowl, they'll try their luck against a formidable Broncos team who finished 10-2 and was two close losses from going undefeated. My antipathy for the Bears aside, this should be a great deal of fun. Both teams feature dynamic playmakers and innovative schemes on offense, and it wouldn't be a shock if both teams ended up in the 40s. I like the Broncos to pull away late, partially because of their superior defense, partially because Baylor's losing streak should stretch for millennia.
