1992 Michigan Wolverines

Back before Calipari's Kentucky and Lebron James to Miami and Durant to Golden State, there weren't really "made up" teams in the way there are now. That is to say, a mass collusion amongst a number of gifted parties to ultimately end up in the same place, thereby forming a "Super Team". In this regard the Fab Five were forerunners, a quintet of high school acquaintances savvy enough to realize that their visibility as a group outdistanced individual recognition.
