What sort of insane numbers will Russell Westbrook average for the Oklahoma City Thunder this season? (Related: Will the Oklahoma City Thunder make the Playoffs?)
If you're remotely interested in basketball, you'll have heard all about Kevin Durant's off-season decision to join the Golden State Warriors, the team who beat his Oklahoma City team in last season's playoffs. Durant's departure means that Russell Westbrook is the Thunder's sole remaining superstar, and that this season, Westbrook is likely to put up absurd per-game numbers. Last time he was without Durant — when the latter sat out much of the 2014/'15 season due to injury — Westbrook walked away with the NBA's scoring title. This time around, who knows? Will he take 30 shots a game? Will he seriously look like averaging a triple double? And most importantly, will any of this be enough to get his team into the playoffs?
