Waterproof!!
This jacket wll keep you very dry. However, It wont keep you warm. You will need something underneath to keep you warm. Otherwise, highly recommended !!! superlight and superdry!!

Great ski shell
Finally, this is a ski shell that is designed 100% for skiing and not for some kind of climbing/skiing/backcountry cross-over. High collar works for blocking out wind. The materials and cut are typical Arcteryx- bomber-proof, minimalist and simple. The sizing is on the generous side. I am a Large in other Arcteryx jackets, but Med Stinger fits me well and the Large is clearly too big. The only gripe is that the color palettee is limited and they don't make it in Red, that's appartently reserved to the CMH version.

Best Ski Outer ever
long time marmot fan, but couldnt resist the features of this shell...........it has held up to one season of "sierra sludge" snow as damp as it gets and did great. several small gripes......would have preferred a two way front zip to get a little extra thigh room, and a larger inside pocket to hold goggles but these are minor. this jacket totally rocks its wind and water proof and looks great as well!

I bought this jacket for my son and he has picked it out from Germany through the internet. When I gave it to him, he was enthusiastic. I myself must admit that the material, design and workmanship are excellent and distinguish the jacket from all the others on the market. I had to think twice though, because of the price.

Awesome Arcteryx
Already own the Sidewinder SV, wanted a stowable hood. The workmanship is awesome as expected from Arcteryx. The design & lines are simple and super functional. The collar is very high and provides excellent protection from the elements.
