Back by popular demand, the Cloudveil Koven Jacket for Men, with new advances in technical construction, continues to lead the pack in heavy weather protection. Fashioned this year with updated weather toughness, this hardshell jacket features thin profile weather tight water resistant zips, dual slider pit zips, bonded draft flaps with fold over chin guard, laminated adjustable cuff tabs, and refined hood brimming. Built with Cloudburst&trade Stretch waterproof and breathable fabric, the Koven provides the best in winter protection and mobility whether you're skiing, snowboarding, ripping in the backcountry, or mountaineering.
Very good quality weather protection at reasonable price.
This jacket provides excellent protection from rain and wind and is lightweight, flexible and durable. Good for urban wear as well as backcountry. Plenty of pockets and fit is right (medium fit me well at 5'9" 155 lbs.). I have an Arc'teryx Alpha SV for severe conditions but this jacket is good for most else. Recommended, especially at the price.
good jacket
Didn't think it wouldn't be warm enough on the slopes. Returning for the Koven Plus
Koven jacket
Nicely made, perfect fit, lightweight. Can't wait to ski in it! (Unlike some other jackets - the hood is just the right size - not too large)
Best jacket in my skiing arsenal!
Before I purchased the Koven jacket I wore Arcterx Seeker my wife baught me the Koven pants I liked them so well I decided to try the jacket now of my choices between my Spyder, Arcterx, and Cloudveil Koven I always go to my Koven best ski jacket I have!
beats Patagonia shells & forget about Gore-tex
normally I am loyal to Patagonia, after spending a long time shopping their shells this winter, I went with the Koven, becoming convinced by the feel: tough-as-nails 3-layer waterproof-breathable fabric, plus amazing stretch all over for a hard shell. The fit is great for me, a size M (I am about 5'9" or 10" and about 180 lbs, athletic), both worn with a light underlayer or several midweight underlayers. It even layers nicely over my softshell and Down Sweater. It served me well doing some backcountry-style cross-country in single-digit temps and really shelters me on long downhill winter bike rides. Overall I am impressed with this jacket's versatility: from climbing to skiing to around-town utility, this jacket was a great buy!
