Excellent product
My son will not wear any other short besides this Columbia w/o the cargo pockets. The zipper pocket is cool but mostly it's just the quality and the durability of the short can not be beat.

Perfect balance of function and style.
I have looked hard for some 8in inseam shorts to replace my favorite pair (also a Columbia). Most shorts these days are long and come with cargo pockets only (not acceptable at some golf courses). Long shorts are ok for some activities (biking), but I don't want my shorts rubbing the back of my knees. But these shorts are not only a good fit, they are a rugged canvas that will improve with washings and should be strong for hiking and bushwhacking. They have a cool zippered pocket along the side seam on the right leg, so they have the function of a cargo without the bulky pocket. Waist size was spot on. Price is right. I was THRILLED with this order as I don't often buy clothes on the internet due to sizing and having to return items if they don't fit, but these shorts were terrific.
