Great Pack!
I use this pack for day hiking and it works great. Enough pockets to store a sandwich, trail maps, camera and others essentials. If you are thinking of a hydration pack for hiking, look no further.

True to Size. Access to reservoir is great. Waist belt is great feature. Cool for the ride.

Great travel pack: lightweight, compact, full of features.
I'm not an extreme anything, but I do like to have all my stuff with me. This pack is AWESOME. I use it primarily for travel (urban sightseeing, plane/train/bicycle/pedestrian travel, Disneyland, etc...). I rarely have to use the expansion zipper, and I like to carry a lot. All details are well-made and practical. I like the mesh chest and waist straps; the weight is so well-distributed it feels like wearing nothing. It is narrow and long, so getting stuff out can be a hassle, but your arms have full range of motion and the pack doesn't swing around. I absolutely LOVE the helmet holder and rain cover; both have come in handy a lot. Mesh bottle pockets on the sides are on the short side. It's not much heavier than my Deuter Speedlite 20, which I also love, but it has a ton more features. I've had it about a year and it still looks like new even though it's been on several local and international trips.

Great! Well thought out pack!
I use this for Mountain Biking! A terrific pack. Great suspension system doesnt roll aroung the bladder, actually feels like a pack on your back, not a sausage! Very stable! Rain cover and helmet carriers very handy! Pleanty of room, big well thought out pockets and well made! Great here in the Northwest! on my way out from a long ride I expand the pack to carry wild mushrooms home for dinner Dueter makes the best MTB packs period. No one else come close!

Compact Exp 12 w/3L Res. Hydration Pack
I have now replaced an 8 year old pack with this new Deuter. It was the best choice for my planned trail use, great details and quality construction. Hope to use this one for 10 + years.
