Great Pack!
When I received the pack, I immediately had to take a trip to test it out. It has plenty of space for storing all my camping and hiking needs. This Deuter Futura pro 42 is lightweight and has plenty of compression straps to keep the pack stable. All the different compartments help store the little things that take up so much space. I have carried up to 35 lbs. with it and can't believe the comfort in my shoulders, neck and back. The best part is the ventilation you get with the pack on. No more sweaty t's for me. I highly recommend this product.

Great lightweight pack for minimalists
This thing has an abundance of features at a VERY reasonable price. The rain cover is awesome and the top and bottom loading capabilities are extremely helpful when you're fully loaded. Keeps you much drier than other packs with the aircomfort system which keeps it away from your body and allows breathing. It's light, strong, and comfortable. It really may be the best overall lightweight backpack out there.

Great Pack!
I absolutely love this pack. Awesome value. It's comfortable and light. The aircontact feature is genius. I like that the rain cover is in fact detachable. I tend to travel lighter than most and if I want to I can easily fit 5 days worth of clothes and hygiene gear in here and still have left over room. The only thing I wish this pack had is pockets on the waistbelt.

Finally got one!
Bond Cliff(NH)and back in one day and the Kelty pack just didn't help make the trip any easier. Being so, tried on many packs at local REI & EMS stores but couldn't 'settle' on any particular one. Hiking friend advised me to check out Deuter brand packs. It was 'comfort at first sight' when I saw the Futura Pro 42! After two back surgeries and not being a 'young pup' the following features of the Deuter Pro 42 were the most important to me. The Aircomfort suspension design, flexible steel frame, contoured padded shoulder straps, VariFlex hipbelt and lumbar pads all provided me with the means to easily manage my load, enhance my comfort and provide stability for my back. The features mentioned above are some of the great features designed into this backpack. Before you 'SETTLE' for another backpack check out the additional features, the materials used in the pack and the quality of construction. The pack more than meets my needs in hiking, peak bagging, and overnight trips. Altrec - easy purchase, good price, pack arrived quickly and well packaged. Will use site in future purchases.

Great crag pack and light enough to do a serious fast ass
So many nice features and so light it really is a good pack for just about anything. I use it mainly as a crag pack but could be used as a go light fast hike pack as well. Love all the little pockets, sides, bottom, top and under the top as well as a quick access pocket on the front. It also has the ability of accommodating a hydration system and a rain cover built in. I researched before I bought it and I really think I got the right pack.
