Meets moderately high expectations
To me, four stars is what happens when expectations are moderately high but not too high, and those expectations are met. I had tried the jacket on in a brick and mortar store a few months ago, and the one I received is exactly like the one I remember trying on. It went through the wash once and it was fine. It's a little thicker than it looks on the internet, and is about all the warmth you need in coastal SoCal. Overall it's a good looking jacket from a trusted brand that will probably wear reasonably well. And the price was ridiculously cheap (cheapest on the web from what I could find - including amazon and ebay). thanks guys.

Outer Shell Material is very poor
The style of the jacket is great. After only owning this jacket for less than a month the outer shell material started to ball up and look old. After two months is looked like it had been beat up for years. I only wear it lightly to and from work. Not what I expect from Hurley.
