The Keen Oregon PCT for Men was designed with these standards in mind, delivering waterproof, cushioned stability in a comfortable, lightweight package that will get your from boarder to boarder or from trailhead to camp.
The Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,700 mile single track trail running the length of the Pacific Crest, from the Mexican boarder to the Canadian boarder, is completed, on foot, by just a hand-full of people each year. A key requirement for the journey is a comfortable, durable, dependable boot that can go the distance and log the miles without the weight of a traditional hiking boot.
sweet boots
i was torn between these and the patagucci hikers. These were much more comfortable out of the box, the Gucci's would have taken some break in time. I look forward to wearing these on hikes and hunts in the fall. Like the previous reviews state, great toe box, tight in the heel. Laces do feel like they will break soon--we will see. Keen makes great shoes/sandals. WILL THEY PLEASE MAKE GOLF SHOES NEXT!!!!
exellent boot!
I have been hiking for thirty years. I always bought Euro.boots thinking I was was getting the best. I was wrong! The PCT is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn.Plus if you have messed up feet like I do (bunions) these are the ticket! Wide footbed and tight around the ankles (I have rubber ankles) All I can say is bravo! And also to Altrec for the best service and instant shipping! Thanks
check your size
great boots out of the box. I did order mine to large. I saw that several of the reviews recommended going up a half size. That recommendation may have been from general boots but Keen already runs small so bumping me up from my normal size in keen was to big. All my keens run small so carrying over my same satisfaction in keen sizing to the Oregon would have been best for me. Thanks Altec for the service on the return.
Support and Comfortable
I really liked these boots. I found them comfortable right out of the box with a lot of ankle support which would do well for backpacking. Only downside was that right boot leaked but Altrec exchanged them with no additional cost to me.
