Excellent - Like all of Mountain Hardware products
The Epic Jacket is all that it is stated it would be. Very light and dry on the inside when it is pouring - love the breathability. I question why there is no bottom zipper - when the jacket is zipper up, I would like the option of opening up the bottom of the jacket when I sit.

Great Coat
Great coat. Comfortable and lightweight, and seems durable. Works great for both wind and rain. I am 6'1" 210. I bought an XL and it fits great, with room for a sweater or light fleece underneath.

Nice Jacket
I got this to replace both an over-sized Marmot parka and an EMS Thunderhead Sync jacket. So far I prefer it to both. The Epic keeps me drier than the Marmot ever did and breathes better than the EMS (also better than the Marmot Precip, which I had several years ago). Trekking around town, I've never been uncomfortable or sweaty (which was a problem with both the Precip and the EMS). My only complaints-- and really they're just niggling-- is that it's a little short at the waist, and that the hood is a bit small. But it's no shorter than the EMS or the Precip, and I have an particularly large head. It really shouldn't bother most people. If I had the option I'd knock half a star, but I don't and it's really not worth a whole star. All in all, a nice jacket and recommended to anybody in need of a packable shell.
