Engagement Announcement
I would like to formally announce the engagement to my Mountain Hardware Vinson Jacket. I love it and I have asked it to marry me. I'm 6'5", 200lbs (and gorgeous). The XXL is great for my size. The arm length is plentiful. The coat is not too roomy. I could probably get away with an XL, but I'm cheap and went with the discounted XXL. The hood (like all MH coats) is well constructed. The coat light blue and brings out my eyes. In a nut shell... the coat is awesome. I am in love.
great for line backers and long shoreman
I was looking at a "large size" at a ski/hiking store and was truely dissapointed they didn't even try or have "adult size". I'm 6'2" and built like a linebacker/longshoreman and This jacket is perfect.did I mention I live in alaska, no room to mess around. I've had many compliments from snow boarders and hikers as well as my longshorers. primaloft as well as the fleece pockets and cell phone/Ipod make it my everyday coat here in alaska.
Warm And Functional
This is exactly what I was looking for in a warm jacket that was stylish and functional. Its comfortable and fits great. Its not too wide and not too long. I'm 6'2 and the size large fits very well. It also has well placed and designed pockets. The PrimaLoft keeps you warm without bulking you up. Great to wear with a single layer underneath even in cold midwestern winter conditions. The added bill on the hood is a little annoying if you aren't wearing a beanie or hat under the hood. But overall its a great jacket. Well worth the price.
Great value, very functional!
I am 5'9" medium build I ordered the medium which fits perfectly. The jacket itself is a bit heavy but very warm. Like all Mountain Hardwear gear, a little tight in the shoulders, but still good range of motion. I really like the detachable snow skirt and ultra-long pit zips.
Comfortable Jacket
My new jacket is just what I was looking for as far as its light weight and length. I have a short trunk and its difficult to find a jacket that does not go way down over my hips. The only reason for for the 3 rating has to do with the Prima Loft. The loft continues to work it's way through the fabric resulting in white underlayers.
