Patagonia Half Mass Bag

The perfect bike bag holds the contents of your life through an entire day of work and play. The Patagonia Half Mass bag is just that with a main compartment that is padded on the back and along the contoured base to provide protection and has a structure for the stay-open design. Inside, a removable, padded computer sleeve suspends a 15-inch or smaller laptop off the ground and has a file organizer built into its side. The cover flap extends over the sides of the bag to protect contents from rain and a low-profile front pocket closes with a water-resistant zipper. External side pockets hold a cell phone, keys and power brick. Other features include a padded, adjustable shoulder strap with a self-closing buckle, a removable shoulder strap pocket for easy access to an MP3 player or cell phone, a stowable waist strap, bottom compression straps that hold a yoga mat, and a reflective strip for better visibility in low light. Made with a 600-denier recycled polyester exterior and a 200-denier polyester liner; both have a polyurethane coating and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

excellent messenger/laptop bag!
I purchased the Half Mass bag in Fusion Sunset (color) and recently traveled with it as my carry-on, filled with my laptop and other stuff. This bag is fantastic...love the way it looks, the generous cushioning on the strap, the adjustability of the straps, and the optional waist/hip strap that can be used when the bag is extra heavy (in the airport between flights, it helps!). So far, I've found this bag to be quite durable, good-looking, and well worth the money. Way to go once again, Patagonia!

Great laptop bag!
I bought this for my wife's new MacBook Pro and she loves it! I have a Half-Mass for every day and Critical-Mass for travel. These are well made and thought out. They would be 100% perfect with one or two more organizer pockets for small items.

Great bag, not-so-great color
This bag is well designed with many pockets. I got this for my wife who loves to organize, and she showed me where she was going to put all her stuff after we got the bag.
