Inherently soft and comfortable, merino naturally resists odor, moves moisture away from the skin, regulates body temperature, and stretches. Raglan sleeves and offset side seams won't chafe beneath pack straps; overlock seams throughout provide a clean aesthetic. Patagonia slow-washes their merino for next-to-skin softness. Machine-wash cold; lay flat to dry. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

nice base layer
I've been a long time user of Capilene, but have heard a lot lately about Merino. Found these on sale and gave them a go. They live up the hype- lightweight, warm and doesn't have that clammy feeling you sometimes get with synthetics. the one downside I've heard on merino is longevity vs synthetics, too early to tell on that note, but so far so good!

Exactly like I pictured it in my minds eye. Patagonia is very predictable for fit and quality. Very comfortable shirt/base, perfect for light weather and under multiple layers.

great gift
I ordered this shirt for my brother in Mars Red as a present, and it is exactly what I expected. It's a relatively light weight undershirt he can wear as a bottom layer in the winter and by itself during warmer months. It feels well-made and as a bonus, it was made in the USA. It also arrived even faster than Altrec promised.

warm, soft, looks good
Excellent base layer, of course, but it's so soft and comfortable I also wear it as a regular shirt, and I've gotten compliments on the color (batik blue).
