Perfect Winter Coat
I searched high and low for a good winter coat. I definitely wanted a 3-in-1 coat so I could use it for more than just cold weather. I narrowed down my search to North Face and Salomon. I ended up with this Snowtrip jacket for a few reasons. I am tall at 6'5" and neither of these companies make tall sizes. The Salomon was just a bit longer. This coat also doesn't look like the typical bulky winter coat. But just because it isn't bulky doesnt mean it isn't warm. I have been outside for the past 2 days in 15 degree temps with high winds. The strongest part of what I am wearing is my Snowtrip jacket. This thing blocks all the wind and its totally waterproof. Another problem I have found with alot of 3-in-1 coats is you spend a decent amount of money for it, but the liner that you can zip out and wear as a light jacket looks kinda cheap. Not with the Salomon. Both layers look great! I highly recommend this coat. Its warm - very warm, it looks awesome, fits great without being overly bulky, and its wind and waterproof!

all around great jacket
Very warm. Having insulation in both the shell and the liner is great. Shell is great in rain, water just bounces off, and wind resistance is great too. Hood also has visibility. Maybe could use some more pockets, but that's a little nit-picky.

Great Jacket!
The jacket is very warm and looks great on! I am so pleased with the purchase I made for my husband I am going to get myself one also!

Nice for Everyday
This Jacket is nice for everyday use, and trips to the backcountry. Bcz of it's softshell technology, it doesn't make that annoying winter ski/snowboard jacket sound when you walk around. Although it is still waterproof(resistant). I've dumped water on this to test it out and it keeps the moisture out and the warmth in. Good stuff!
