Perfect for function, clunky for wear
I got the Caribou for one reason: I ride my bike in all weathers in NYC. A week before I got it I rode a couple hours in a downpour and my former jacket soaked completely through. I wanted a jacket to put on without thinking no matter how cold, windy, snowy or rainy it is. I wanted to be warm and dry and windproof. In that regard, the Caribou is a great jacket. It breathes, it's cut well, it's totally warm and comfy and I have total confidence in it. I'll wear it every day on the bike for the rest of the winter and given the high standard of construction, expect to do so for years to come. Now, the complaints, all small. The jacket looks as if it has four exterior pockets. That's one reason I got it. But it doesn't. The right front breast pocket is a fake -with just a flap that looks like the other pockets. I did not know this when I ordered it and my customer service rep did not tell me. Had I known, I would have ordered something else. The hood does not go into the collar or remove. So the jacket always look clunky, dorky, suburban. That's its nature, but at that price point you'd think the hood could stow. Ditto the sleeve cuffs. One feature I really like is how long the sleeves are. I have 35 inch arms and the sleeve cover my gloves, yet the jacket, an XL is not too large on me. That is a rare design feature and I like it. However, for the money, I would have expected some kind of cuff open/closer, like a velcro strap. Otherwise, I love the coat and think it's worth every penny.

Great Jacket
Perfect bulk and weight. Size runs small. Hood is not removable and chest pocket is a little hard to access. Warm and lightweight.

Too thin
Too light for me, the sleeves are too tight, I ordered a medium and it ran small.
