An enduring classic, The North Face McMurdo Parka offers everything a parka should be for work and play in cold weather. That's probably why this garment ranks among the most successful in The North Face outerwear collection. The McMurdo features a waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed construction backed by warm 550-fill down and more pockets than you'll typically find on most winter outerwear. If fur isn't your thing, the faux trim can be easily removed along with the entire adjustable hood. Inside the McMurdo Parka you'll find two zippered security pockets and two pockets for water bottles. This North Face Parka is also electronics ready, so you can hook up to your work radio or MP3 music player without running a bunch of wires or leaving zippers agape. Fun aside, the McMurdo is one of the best-equipped parkas we've seen, and unless global warming eliminates winter, we won't have a bunch in stock for long.
Siberian warmth
I bought this jacket when I went to live in Siberia. When the temperature hit -50, I was still warm.
A great parka for the snow and cold!
The winter of 2010 in DC was too much for me until I started wearing the McMurdo parka. It kept me dry and warm in this historic storm.
Great Jacket
Just moved back to Canada to very cold temperatures (- 20 F + wind) and the coat held up great. the fur doesn't attach to the hood too well that's the main drawback.
great jacket, runs big
Great jacket.I bought it for my brother who is 5'11, medium build and a size small fit him like a medium. he said it felt like a heater when he had it on and didn't have to wear much underneath, just a t-shirt was fine.
Great coat
I bought this parka for my son who is 6'5". He loves it and it fits like a dream.
