An excellent hiking shoe
This shoe is very comfortable. The Vibram outsole is great, you will never get a slip in a track. The breathable fabric really works, you will never get your feet wet. I have been wearing my shoe for more than a year and its still like new. Vibram outsole is very durable, no wear out so far. If you want a lightweight durable shoe, The North Faces Prophecy II is your choice.
comfort and versatility
I use these in the woods, on the trail, and just around town. They fit and feel great immediately. They also are really sturdy for being so light. I wouldn't wear them when it is really wet, but the flexibility of the vibram soles make them stable on slick surfaces
great
No need to break it in, super comfy, great looks, light weight, love the vibram sole, wear it all over town and hiking.
Excellent trail shoe!
This is my first pair of hiking/trail shoes, so I can only compare these against the walking/running shoes I have used on trails and hiking trips. For the fit, the shoe seemed to be slightly roomier than other shoes of the same size. However, I think a half size down would have been too small. When tied tightly, the laces stayed tied for the whole day. In comfort, the foot bed has a nice cushioning feel when walking and the shoe is lightweight. On my recent trip, I walked in these shoes for over 8 hours a day, and my feet were not achy like I had become accustomed to with other shoes. The outsole had great traction. One day of my trip was spent in a rain forest, and I didn't slip on any of the rocks like many of the others in our group. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Great lightweight trail shoe!
I have been running the Ultra 103 XCR trail shoes. While I miss the waterproof feature of the XCRs, I really like the lightweight feel of these. They are just as cush, with half the weight! Great shoes!
