Must Have.
I recently purchased the Yakima Control Towers. In order to install them you must have these landing pads. They come in a few different sizes. I purchased the size 9 that is compatible with the Honda Element. They are sold in a two pack. Generally you will have to buy two sets of them for a full rack.

I would have rated them as "great", except that the washers were missing from one set.
