A Stylish, Affordable Fall Wardrobe Is Waiting For You at One Cool Store

Though the weather in some areas of the country (cough, New York, cough Atlanta) might lead you to believe that we’re living in a perpetual state of summer, at some point chillier temperatures, colored foliage and hiking weather will be here. And when that happens, the latest release from Uniqlo U will be waiting

The latest collection from the Japanese mega-retailer's in-house collective, led by former Hermes creative director Christophe Lemaire, was released to select stores today and online last night. Its seasonal (and sometimes season-less) staples are crafted in elevated materials, and offered at the kinds of reasonable prices that often cause the wares to sell out fast. Case in point: a wool blend jacket for $100 or a simple fleece cardigan, ideal for layering, at just $40

The pieces come in solid colors that make them easy to swap in and out of your existing wardrobe. (There's an odd neon piece here and there, but most of it is done in green, a dusty red, navy and other neutrals.) It's their silhouettes that set them apart from the rest of the pack: The $40 wider-leg trousers are a definitive push away from the skinny jean trend of yesterseason. Some even come cropped at the ankle in a “shorter than normal but not a culotte” variation.

And because some of the materials aren’t too far off from what Lemaire worked with in luxury fashion, you're getting good clothes at a great price. And if you know what’s good for you, you’ll probably want look into getting some of these pieces sooner rather than later.
