The Tweed Run pitches itself as a "metropolitan bicycle ride with a bit of style." In reality, it's a happening catered to central London's best-dressed dandies, who cycle through town doing their best Duke of Windsor impressions. Kitsuné, the French brand renown for outfitting western European hepcats, cited this event as the chief influence for its latest collection, which blends an Anglo sporting aesthetic with a dash of continental minimalism.
Kitsuné's long-sleeve polo is our favorite piece from a diverse, 29-item fall/winter line. The Paris-based company's designers shunned the polo's typical boxy fit in favor of a slim, Jil Sander-esque silhouette that's more Arnold-Palmer-on-the-18th-green than frat-boy-at-Foxfields. They also threw a thick white stripe across the chest: It's a tip-of-the-lid to vintage cycling jerseys, but on the real, it helps you stand out from the played-out horse and alligator crowd.
Kitsuné offers long- and short-sleeve polos this season, but fall's cooler nights demand full sleeves, so opt for the former and pair it with sneakers and selvedge jeans. Channel your inner Pharrell Williams by closing the top button, or keep it open for a more casual, football-with-the-guys look. Either way, you'll look hipper than a British dandy out for his morning ride. [$299; kitsune.fr]
