After this 2009 profile, Bode Miller went on to become the most successful U.S. athlete at the 2010 Winter Games, winning two bronzes, a silver, and a gold medal. Two years later, he placed first in his 33rd World Cup, and then skipped the entire 2013 season after undergoing knee surgery. He will be competing this year in Sochi, his last Winter Games.
