What hotel doesn't have a "romantic" Valentine’s Day package this time of year? But if you want to get beyond a few old rose pedals and an overpriced bottle of champagne, you'll have to dig a little bit harder. From a gin-soaked evening to a hotel-sanctioned pillow fight, here's a better way to spice up your weekend.

Bondage and Blindfolds

We won’t judge: Some of you are going to go see that 50 Shades Darker movie, hitting theaters this Valentine's Day (of course). Follow that with a stay at The National Hotel on South Beach with a package that includes all the necessary elements for a bondage-themed getaway, including a poolside blind-folded dinner for two that ends the movie’s signature vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Drunk in Love

For couples who enjoy drinking together, The Distillery recently opened featuring hotel rooms, a restaurant, bar, and a tasting room all within a gin distillery. Individually designed by Portobello Road Gin’s founding directors, each room encapsulates the area’s eclectic culture with unusual touches (think: handmade record players) that provide the tonic to a hard night of imbibing the mother’s ruin.

Body Painting

At Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa in California couples can indulge in a healing paint party for two through the Well Spa’s Pittura Festa treatment, which culminates in a couples massage. During the experience, couples drink champagne while painting each other with a palette of colorful, healing muds in a private room, called a Pittura. Muds incorporated into the treatment revitalize skin and purify the body, including Green Sea Clay imported from the South of France and Red Mountain Clay mined from the French Alps.

Pillow Fights

If you enjoy gently warring with your partner, the pillow fight package at West Inn & Suites boutique hotel in Carlsbad is for you. The hotel lets guests choose their weapon of choice (pillow or nerf guns) and delivers it to your room. As an added bonus, guests can check out retro games such as Battleship, Chutes and Ladders, and Twister.

The King of Love

For the entire month of February, The Guest House at Graceland is offering the Love Me Tender package, which includes standard guest room accommodations, champagne and strawberries upon arrival, breakfast buffet at Delta’s Kitchen, and a commemorative Love Elvis CD. For couples who want to really feel like Elvis and Priscilla, they can book The King’s Suite and watch movies on the big screen television installed in the ceiling over the bed.

Stay Naked

Jamaica’s famous clothing-optional resort, Hedonism II, is not your average getaway and thus doesn't tote just your basic offerings. The resort’s playroom, the Romping Shop, allows guests, both singles and couples, the opportunity to explore and rediscover their personal boundaries, complete with an L-shaped bed, two sex swings, a glass shower, and suspension cuffs on chains anchored from the ceiling.

Starry Night

At Milaidhoo Island Maldives, they will name a star after their honeymooning guests as part of the ‘Perfect Honeymoon’ package. The honeymooning couple will have a star in the night skies named after them and take home a naming certificate of registration and star chart so they can always find it. Guests will be able to choose the exact name of their star and which constellation it’s in.
