One Flew South (ATL)
One Flew South in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport was the first fine-dining restaurant in America’s busiest airport. Under the helm of opening Chef Duane Nutter, One Flew South serves up “Southernational” cuisine and authentic sushi alongside premium cocktails from Beverage Director Tiffanie Barriere. Nutter and Barriere have since moved on to other ventures, but Chef Jared Hall and lead bartender Devon Eagle have stepped into their roles and continue their legacy. Great dishes to try include OFS Dirty South, an open-faced meatloaf sandwich with pimento cheese, sautéed spinach, bacon, bbq sauce, and a fried egg, or their Thyme roasted pork belly with black-eyed pea and arugula salad, parsnip puree, and blackberry-onion marmalade.
