Tree House Camping: Spicewood, Texas
It’s a choose-your-own adventure of sorts at Cypress Valley’s tree houses, with various custom ones available. The Lofthaven is a bedroom built around an ancient cypress trunk, with a bridge that leads you to a waterfall-filled tub. Or, the roomy, two-story Nest (which can house up to six) is nestled next to a waterfall that leads to a private bathhouse. Juniper and Willow are more simple rooms, humbly perched in the trees. Prices range from $200 to $500 per night, with the least expensive options during the week. Should you decide to peel yourself out of your accommodations, you can go ziplining among the cypress tree canopies or give flyboarding a try in nearby Austin.
