Outdoor Research Ultralight Dry Sack

Most dry bags are thick and rubbery, making them inconvenient for anything but a dedicated, on-water trip. Not so those by Outdoor Research. These waterproof bags (from $15get it at Moosejaw) are made from thin 40D ripstop polyester, seam-taped, and roll closed. Rolled up properly, they’ll survive a dunk in the river or ocean. They’re great for everyday use too; if you keep your camera in one, you can prevent the lens from fogging when you leave air conditioning and go out into humidity. Store all your electronics in them and they’ll be safe from a splash, thunderstorm, and dust. Add a tiny packet of silica gel and it will absorb any moisture buildup.
