Explore a New Park in the Missouri Ozarks
Echo Bluff State Park in the verdant Ozarks of southern Missouri is brand new and looks it with a stunning fire-lit lodge, roomy cabins, and a well-planned campground — all of a standard befitting a top-tier national park. Of course, the main draw in these rugged hills is the surrounding nature. You can kayak, canoe, or paddleboard down Sinking Creek, fish for smallmouth bass at Current River, or take your mountain bike out on the looping Painter Ridge Trail through the thick forest. This $52 million natural playground had a soft opening last July but will kick off its first full summer season on Memorial Day.
