By Jordan Reed

On January 19, 17-year-old Utah native Johnny Collinson became the youngest person to conquer the Seven Summits, topping Antarctica’s Vinson Massif one year after reaching his first peak at Aconcagua. An avid climber since age four — when he taped nail plates to his boots for traction — Collinson tackled the peaks with mountaineering twins Willie and Damian Benegas and even skied off of Denali, Elbrus, and Vinson. He hopes to become a professional backcountry skier.
