Yellowstone shows, and Taylor Sheridan's Western oeuvre more broadly, may be known for the beauty of the natural world in nearly every frame, but what Dutton Ranch proves is that characters set the tone, not the location. And with this show, nearly everyone we meet seems volatile, full of secrets, and possibly ready to take over the show at a moment's notice.

It's not just that Dutton Ranch quickly introduces us to a very dangerous, villainous, rival rancher named Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), or that Rob Will's mom, Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), is some kind of evil Texas queen. It's that the audience knows that Beth and Rip can be total psychos when they need to be. Kindly new ranchhand Azul (J. R. Villarreal) says in the second episode that Rip "doesn't suffer fools," which is a massive understatement.

The rest of the new characters, who are neither hero nor villain, all have tremendous potential for all sorts of unpredictable storylines. Quickly, fans will likely agree that Ed Harris's veterinarian, who is also a veteran, Everett McKinney, is a kind of anchor of the series. Meanwhile, Natalie Alyn Lind's Oreana, heir to the possible Jackson ranching fortune, is a character who audiences might think they have figured out, only to be proven wrong very quickly.

In Dutton Ranch, Texas itself feels like a character, too, both beautiful and terrifying; a giant ocean trying to destroy Beth and Rip, fish who are very much out of their usual water. But, as much as Texas is hard on this part of the Dutton clan, on some level, the audience might feel bad for Texas. This is Beth and Rip after all, and it's possible that Texas isn't ready for them at all.

That's because Margo's Got Money Troubles has officially been renewed by Apple TV for Season 2; the news comes a week before the highly anticipated Season 1 finale airs.

The critically acclaimed first season, which currently holds a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, follows Margo (Elle Fanning), a college student who drops out after unexpectedly getting impregnated by her writing professor. Faced by scrutiny from her mother, Shayanne (Michelle Pfeiffer), and endless financial struggles, Margo decides to make an OnlyFans account in order to provide for herself and her baby. Things get more complicated when Jinx (Nick Offerman), her estranged, ex-pro Wrestler father, shows up on her doorstep.

The first season was based on Rufi Thorpe's 2024 novel. Plot details for this sequel are being kept under wraps, and Season 2 will go beyond the original source material since Season 1 strictly follows the length of Thorpe's book. The series cast is rounded out by Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty and Lindsey Normington.

WWE has called up plenty of NXT talents to join the main roster this year. Their decision to bring up Oba Femi and have him defeat future Hall of Famer Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 certainly paid off.

Former NXT Champion Ethan Page, Blake Monroe and the Fatal Influence stable are among the stars who joined the main WWE roster last month.

A Pivotal Time for WWE to Develop New Main Roster Talents

Even with Vince McMahon long gone, WWE has the same old problem: an over-reliance on part-time stars. If there were a time to start pushing new talents and faces on the main roster, it's now.

John Cena and A.J. Styles have retired. Brock Lesnar may be finished as well, though it's not exactly clear if the loss to Femi was his final match. A significant portion of tag team and mid-card performers were released after WrestleMania.

At some point, WWE has to move away from constantly building its main event picture around stars like Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Logan Paul. Developing and pushing call-ups from NXT would be a wise starting point.

As noted by Andrew Ravens of WrestlingNews.co, CM Punk is still advertised for all four episodes of Monday Night Raw in July, as well as the Aug. 3 episode. On the bright side for Punk's fans, that's a good sign that he'll be back well before SummerSlam.

The two-day SummerSlam pay-per-view event will run from Aug. 1-2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. WWE usually stacks up the card for SummerSlam, so it'd be a surprise if Punk wasn't somehow involved in this year's show.

CM Punk Returned to WWE in 2023

CM Punk abruptly left the WWE on Jan. 27, 2014, the day after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. It was later reported that he told Vince McMahon and Triple H that he was heading home.

The longtime fan favorite cited injuries and frustrations with WWE creative as reasons for his decision to leave. Seven years later, he returned to the ring as a member of the AEW roster.

Punk's tenure there was hampered by backstage drama and altercations, leading to his dismissal in Sept. 2023. He wouldn't stay out of work for long, however, as Punk made a thrilling return at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 pay-per-view.

Released towards the end of the "Cool Britannia" era of British music that saw the meteoric rise of the Colchester-born group, as well as Oasis, Pulp, Suede, Elastica, and others, British rock bands had firmly established their own identity outside of the American-dominated grunge sound that had dominated the first half of the 1990s, but no Britpop band had a major hit across the Atlantic in the way grunge groups like Nirvana had in emerging genre's home territory.

Originally a bossa nova, beach vacation-vibe demo in which lead singer Damon Albarn gleefully repeats the phrase "woo-hoo!" (see, for example, this early performance for an idea), "Song 2" was sent by the band to Food/Parlophone Records as a joke, according to the group. Guitarist Graham Coxon recalled in an interview that the band decided to do a "really fast, really noisy and horrible" second take of the demo, thinking, "let's send it to the record label, let's scare them to death! They'll hate it!"

"We played it to them giggling," Coxon said on Produce Like a Pro, only to be told the song was "excellent" by record execs. "Our joke was foiled," Coxon remembered.

"Song 2" has long been subject to an internet rumor that it was intended as a parody of grunge music, likely due to the typical polarization between the genre and Britpop in the mid-1990s, but no recollection or statement from any member of Blur correlates with this theory. Rather, early reviews from music critics probably pushed this comparison, as the single from the group's fifth, self-titled album was a major shift from the formula Blur had become synonymous with, inspired in their infancy by the Madchester and shoegaze craze, before settling firmly within the Britpop-alt rock category.

Charting at #6 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks and totalling over 1.2 billion streams on Spotify alone, "Song 2" accidentally became Blur's global ambassador, despite being completely unrepresentative of the group's signature sound. This was especially the case in the United States, where sports teams from the Los Angeles Angels to the Pittsburgh Penguins used the 1997 track as their own personal anthem.

Intel, FIFA, Sony PlayStation, Starship Troopers, and The Simpsons all used the track; even the U.S. military attempted to license it for a commercial, though the band rejected the request on personal objections, perhaps representing the uncontrollable power of the barely 2-minute rock and roll explosion, escaping the group's artistic intentions. In the music video, Coxon, Albarn, drummer Dave Rowntree, and bassist Alex James are all blown across the room by ultra-loud amplifiers, struggling to perform as normal against the mighty energy and all-consuming, distorted pull of the garage-influenced track, with the group literally thrown by the unexpected success of "Song 2."

Who knew that a show that was such a phenomenon could be upsetting in some parts of the world? Modern Family was banned in Iran and Turkey, and it was remade in Chile. Let's dig into the details.

Modern Family Banned in Iran

The show was remade as Haft Sang in Iran. This version of the show changes the same-sex couple, Cam and Mitchell, into an opposite-sex couple, Behrooz and Elham. Iran has strict rules forbidding any television program to show LGBTQ couples or interactions. Basically, this version of the show pretends that Cam and Mitchell don't even exist. This takes a lot of the humor out of the series as they were one of funniest and most popular pairings in the American version of the series.

Modern Family Banned in Turkey

Turkey banned Modern Family for a variety of reasons, such as "using profane language, allowing coverage of a child born out of wedlock and contradicting with national and sentimental values".

The decision was made by Turkey's Radio and Television Supreme Council. The last part about the show cotradicting the nation's values is a little vague, and once again probably has to do with homophobia. Gay marriage is illegal in Turkey and the country has a long history of bigotry towards same-sex relations.

Modern Family Remade in Chile

The series was remade in Chile to fit the political views of the country, again to specifically eliminate a lot of the LGBTQ themes in the show. Cam and Mitchell's characters are rewritten so that one of them fathers a child with a woman. This avoids the storyline of two gay men adopting a baby. Instead, the couple in this version takes care of the baby that was reproduced from a straight relationship. The characters also can't get married in Chile as same-sex marriage isn't allowed.

Kouri Richins gained national attention after publishing a children’s book about coping with loss following the 2022 death of her husband, Eric Richins.

Prosecutors said Richins secretly purchased multiple life insurance policies and later killed her husband with a fatal fentanyl dose at the couple’s home in Park City.

Several Murder Attempts

Richins poisoned her husband with fentanyl more than once. She spiked a sandwich with a lethal dose that made him very ill, but he recovered after taking Benedryl and using an EpiPen, according to the New York Times.

The deadly dose was in a Moscow Mule cocktail that included five times the lethal dose that she served him in their home in Park City. They were celebrating a real estate deal she had closed.

She Wrote a Children's Book About Grief

In the year after her husband’s death, Richins wrote and published a book called “Are You With Me?” written for children who are grieving, which her three young boys were. She promoted the book on local news outlets. It was sold on Amazon but is no longer available for purchase.

From one article, “Kouri Richins is an incredible mother who touched our hearts by sharing her personal story of loss. Her husband of nine years unexpectedly passed away just one year ago, leaving behind his wife and their three young sons.

While learning to navigate grief in a new normal, Kouri and her sons began to write a children’s book to help others cope with the loss of a loved one. She tells us she needed the distraction, and a way to channel and articulate the family’s feelings.”

Rather than retract the article, the editor updated the article with a note acknowledging that she was later arrested and became a murder suspect one month after the interview.

Richins faces life in prison without parole, but she is planning an appeal.

The UFL is an eight-team professional football league that kicked off for the first time in 2024. Featuring former college stars and pro players, the league plays a 10-week regular season that runs through March to May, the offseason of the NFL and college football.

As a new and experimental league without the same pressure and history of the NFL, the UFL has many unique rules to favor scoring. The league features four-point field goals (60+ yards), option for three-point attempt after touchdowns and one-play attempts to gain 12 yards to maintain possession as opposed to onside kicks.

In addition to gameplay rules, the UFL has ventured into different ways to evolve how football games are broadcast.

Friday, the league unveiled a new segment to the broadcast: real-time interviews with referees during the game.

Now, Johnson is looking ahead to his second appearance ever at Ford Field as the head coach of the Bears. It's shaping up to be a doozie, as well.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Detroit Lions will host the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving, which falls on Thursday, Nov. 26. In that showdown, "Ben Johnson returns to Ford Field for the second time as Bears head coach," Schultz adds in a post on X, which he sent out on Wednesday, May 13.

The Chicago Bears took the NFC North last season, but they lost in both contests to the Detroit Lions. So, this will make for a significant rematch. When the Lions and Bears meet, Chicago hopes to have some help in the wide receiver position. The Bears traded DJ Moore this offseason to the Buffalo Bills, and that gave the Bears a second-round pick but left them with a hole to fill. The Bears did sign Kalif Raymond and drafted Zavion Thomas in the third round of the 2026 NFL draft, but they could still use a boost.

On Friday, Johnson was asked about the Chicago Bears' wide receiver room, and he admitted that while it was strong, it could use help. So, don't be surprised if you see Johnson beef up that lineup.

"It's a group that really complements each other," Johnson said, according to Chris Emma of The Score. "We've got a good mix of long speed, quickness, guys that may be better suited inside the numbers, a few guys that are going to be able to thrive outside the numbers."

He added, "So, I like the mix and the makeup. We're always looking to add competition."

Following the Lions beating the Bears earlier this year, Campbell praised his team. "Proud of them. That's the way to finish," he said in a postgame presser. "I really didn't expect anything different out of them just knowing the guys that we had I tell you what. But, nonetheless I'm still proud of them because it's not always the easiest thing."

The win was special, because the Lions had already been eliminated from the playoffs at that point. So, they were only playing for pride.

"You get eliminated and it's hard for some guys," Campbell added. "You're back out in the elements and with a team that's already clinched."

Campbell added, "But our guys fought, man, from the beginning even when they came back, we were up two scores, they came back, our guys didn't bat an eye and we were able to finish it out."

Now, an influential '90s personality has been named the "greatest WWE wrestler of all time." It's not Hulk Hogan, even though he was obviously a pioneer in professional wrestling in 1980s to early 1990s. It's also not The Rock, even though he helped bring professional wrestling to the masses through his high-profile movie roles.

Sports Illustrated has a feature out naming the best WWE wrestlers of all time. In the piece, Sid Pullar III notes that "from legendary in-ring competitors to extremely charismatic characters, the company has showcased some of the most engaging personalities that have made the business a success over the course of the past five decades."

Hogan comes in at No. 2 on the tally, and The Rock is No. 3., even though either of them could be worthy of the top title. So, who's No. 1?

The Crow, starring the late Brandon Lee as the title character, was released on May 13, 1994. Three sequels and a 2024 reboot never came close to restoring the magic of the original film, one that carries a horrible tragedy of a backstory.

The son of legendary actor and martial artist Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, was destined for his own successful career in Hollywood. After multiple appearances in low-budget films, Brandon got his big break when he was cast as Eric Draven/The Crow in the 1994 superhero blockbuster film.

Directed by Alex Proyas and produced by Edward R. Pressman and Jeff Most, The Crow was based on the comic book series created by James O'Barr in 1989. Early on, Johnny Depp and the late River Phoenix were among those considered for the Draven/Crow role.

In the film, Eric Draven is murdered after trying to stop a group of criminals from attacking his fiancée, who was also killed.

A crow visits Draven's grave and resurrects him. Draven then becomes "The Crow" and seeks revenge on the criminals who committed the gruesome double-murder.

The Tragic Backstory of 'The Crow'

The Crow received critical acclaim and made over $94 million. "Big Empty," the song for the film written by the Stone Temple Pilots, won the MTV Movie Award for Best Musical Moment in 1995.

But the movie's success is merely a footnote to the horrific event that happened on the set. Lee was tragically killed after a horrific accidental shooting during filming of Draven's death scene.

Funboy, the character played by Michael Massee, was to shoot Draven during the film's murder scene. As the New York Times explained, an overlooked prop gun used by Massee for the scene caused Lee's accidental death:

"On the night of March 30, 1993, Mr. Massee was filming a scene in which Mr. Lee’s character dies. Mr. Lee was supposed to walk into an apartment and encounter four gang members attacking his lover, and Mr. Massee, as one of the thugs, was supposed to shoot him at close range with a revolver loaded with blanks.

But when Mr. Massee pulled the trigger, the gunpowder in the blank cartridge ignited and fired a fragment of a bullet — probably part of a dummy shell that had been left in the gun’s barrel from an earlier scene — into Mr. Lee’s midsection. Mr. Lee collapsed and after hours of surgery, died in a hospital."

Lee's mother, Linda Lee Cadwell, filed a negligence lawsuit after his death, reaching a settlement out of court. He was survived by his mother, sister, Shannon and fiancée, Eliza Hutton.

On Monday evening, Davidson received the 2026 Webby Special Achievement Award. After accepting the honor from Machine Gun Kelly, the comedian delivered just five words in keeping with the Webbys’ famously brief acceptance speech format, but they still packed a punch.

“Thanks. I’m still dead inside,” Davidson said.

Davidson’s speech quickly made the rounds online because it felt so quintessentially Pete Davidson: equal parts funny, uncomfortable, self-aware, and slightly sad underneath the punchline.

Part of Davidson’s appeal has always been his willingness to speak candidly about mental health in an industry that often pressures celebrities to appear polished, grateful, and constantly fulfilled. Over the years, that honesty has become deeply tied to his public persona, helping transform him from a young SNL comic into one of pop culture’s most unexpectedly enduring figures.

For many fans, Davidson’s humor works because it rarely feels overly manufactured. Even while navigating blockbuster movies, major fashion campaigns, and intense tabloid attention surrounding his dating life, he’s continued to present himself as awkward, emotionally transparent, and deeply aware of his own public image.

That contrast is part of what made his Webby speech resonate so strongly online. Award shows are typically designed to celebrate achievement and success, but Davidson’s joke served as a reminder that external success does not necessarily erase internal struggles. In many ways, the moment reflected the type of humor that has come to define internet culture over the last decade: self-deprecating, brutally honest, and willing to make discomfort part of the punchline.

Still, Davidson struck a slightly more sincere tone elsewhere during the evening. When asked what advice he would give his younger self backstage at the event, the comedian responded: “Don’t be so hard on yourself.”

The answer offered a softer contrast to his now-viral acceptance speech and reflected the emotional honesty that has long made Davidson such a compelling figure to audiences. Beneath the deadpan jokes and self-deprecating humor, there has always been a level of vulnerability that fans continue to connect with.

While the present tense of the book focuses on Bond coming back into the fold after having been captured (he's been missing for two previous novels), the opening of the chapters reveals a rebooted version of the character at the start of his journey. Anthony Horowitz may have given Bond his first Double O assignment in 1950 in Forever and a Day (2018), and Charlie Higson's SilverFin(2005) began the adventures of teenage Bond in the 1930s. But, Sherwood's Hurricane Room kicks off with a twenty-something Bond in 2004; a bit of nostalgia for elder millennials and a modern-day Bond origin we've never seen before.

"Usually we have a middle Bond," Sherwood tells Men's Journal. "Fleming's pattern is to pick up with Bond somewhere in his mid-30s. He never really ages in Fleming's world. He's already a professional, he's already successful, he's already the star of the department, and he seemingly is never going to quit or die. Fleming flirts with that, but largely he's kept within this safe zone, and the films did the same until Daniel Craig. So my intention with Hurricane Room was to show the beginning and the end rather than the middle of James Bond."

That said, Sherwood wasn't just inventing this backstory from nothing. She was taking inspiration from Bond creator Ian Fleming himself.

"He's in his mid-twenties, before his Double O status, undercover as a diplomat in mid-aughts Moscow. This detail is pulled from Moonraker, when Fleming says M posted Bond to the British Embassy in Moscow," Sherwood explains. "Fleming doesn't explore the idea beyond a throwaway line of dialogue, so I'm filling in the gaps. That was a key seed for the novel."

Since 2022's Double or Nothing, Sherwood has been exploring the Bond mythos largely from the perspective of other Double O agents, prominently 003, Johanna Harwood, and 004, Jospehy Dryden. Taking place in the present day, Sherwood has been given free rein to tell a 21st-century version of Bond's MI6 in which Moneypenny is in charge, Bond is missing, and Q is basically an AI computer. If this all sounds like it should be the next big streaming show, then almost certainly send Jeff Bezos a tweet and demand that, in addition to the next Steven Knight-penned major Bond film (which Sherwood is excited for).

But, just because the Double O books (and pretty much all the 007 books) are in a different continuity than the films, that doesn't mean there aren't essential ingredients that make the character who he is. While writing Hurricane Room, a book in which Bond is more central than ever before, Sherwood had a specific list of things she knew she had to include. But what are those ingredients?

How does one write James Bond? Even a younger Bond, or a Bond in his 30s or 40s? What are the plot devices that define this character? "I boiled his ideology or drivers down to three things in the novel: move, want, give," Sherwood says of Bond. "In some ways, Hurricane Room is about what happens when you take away what makes him him, because in captivity, he couldn't move, want, or give."

If you're only a fan of the movies, you may wonder why "Breakfast" is on this list. Well, Fleming's Bond loves ordering breakfast, and infamously, had Bond ordering scrambled eggs a lot in early books. And despite being from the U.K., Bond always prefers coffee over tea.

Why James Bond Still Matters

As a woman writing Bond novels, Sherwood is well aware that 007 has a bit of a reputation. But, as she's often maintained, the character isn't limited to some of the clichés or tropes we've associated with him over the years.

"What does a character look like who, for some people, represents a reactive, toxic notion of masculinity? Bond doesn't represent that for me, but for some people he does, and they'll have a sort of immediate aversion to any of the moments of misogyny in the Bond world, which are often clipped up and go around YouTube or TikTok," Sherwood says. "There are misogynistic moments, to be clear. And if you reduce Bond to that, then it's fair to say: Do we really want to keep worshiping this character?"

But, Sherwood says that the character's mixed perceptions are an opportunity, not a curse, mostly because the universal, global love of Bond is already there. Why not put that love to good use in newer versions?

"For me, we need Bond now more than ever because he can stand up against those forces in a way that unites people," Sherwood says. "How globally beloved Bond is is extraordinary when you think about it, that this character, which could be quite narrow, is actually loved by so many people around the world with different backgrounds. Everybody finds something to love in Bond. He is, and can be, a rounded, real, vulnerable, courageous, funny, difficult, sharp, ruthless, cold, and loving character, which is what Fleming gave us."

The Italian horror film, directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini and in part based on a 1785 French novel, follows a group of sadistic fascists who trap a group of young men and women and subject them to endless physical and sexual torture. The film was ultimately banned in 150 countries around the world, with some bans continuing today; copies of it were, of course, passed around underground.

"The film’s producers had to fight a long and complicated battle with various boards of censorship, as well as the public prosecutors of several cities (including Rome and Milan), before the film could be officially shown in Italy," Naomi Greene writes in a Criterion essay. The film was added to the Criterion Collection in 1993 on LaserDisc, cementing its status.

The film was released in Italy but was quickly banned in Jan. 1976, a pattern that continued in many European countries; it remains banned in many countries for its highly sexual content, including graphic depictions of rape and nudity.

Adding to the controversy and outrage over the film, director Pasolini was found murdered weeks after completing production on the film on November 2, 1975. His body was found on an Ostia beach in Italy. The motives behind Pasolini's death remain a mystery to this day.

The film remains the stuff of high praise by many filmmakers, including Michael Haneke, Brady Corbet, Catherine Breillat, and John Waters. Salò's harshest critics see the film as exploitative, pointless, and straight-up unwatchable, while defenders view it as a deeply political and allegorical tale of human behavior that still resonates over 50 years later.

The NFL will release its full regular season schedule on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. Several games have already been announced, including a Thanksgiving Day clash between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

Per Brian Steinberg of Variety, Netflix is slated to air five games during the 2026 regular season. They'll also broadcast the San Francisco 49ers-Los Angeles Rams Week 1 game in Melbourne, Australia, two Christmas Day matchups (to be announced) and a Week 18 contest.

The Rob Reiner-directed comedy stars the late filmmaker as director Marty Di Bergi, who follows rock band Spinal Tap in an attempt to make a documentary about their ongoing concert tour for their new album, Smell The Glove.

The tale of the washed-up rockers didn't invent the mockumentary genre, but instead perfected it — with the 1984 comedy widely credited for inspiring future classics such as The Office, Best in Show, and Modern Family, to name a few. Although the film had a script penned by Reiner and the core cast, much of what is seen on screen was improvised on set, and with guest appearances from fellow comedic giants such as Billy Crystal, Fran Drescher, Dana Carvey, and Fred Willard, seeing these icons riffing off against one another is a delight for any comedy lover.

Quotes from Spinal Tap, namely the "turn up to 11" scene, in which Nigel tells Marty about his unique amplifier setting, have become a core part of the culture lexicon since it premiered over 40 years ago, and the trio of actors have regularly held concerts and made cameo appearances, from talk shows to The Simpsons, as the fictional rock band.

The film was listed on Entertainment Weekly's 100 Greatest Movies of All Time list, The New York Times' top 1,000 movies ranking, and was picked for preservation at the Library of Congress' National Film Registry, an honor given to movies deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" to American culture.

Many musicians, from Ozzy Osborne to Kurt Cobain to Paul McCartney, have cited the mockumentary as eerily true to real life as a rock and roll star on the road, with the latter making a cameo in the 2025 sequel Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, released months before Reiner's death. The beloved director began and ended his filmmaking career with the two Spinal Tap films, book-ending a filmography that revolutionised and re-energized the comedy landscape for almost half a century.

Erik Fleming, a drug addiction counselor, pleaded guilty in 2024 to conspiracy to distribute ketamine and distribution of ketamine resulting in death. That sentence included three years of supervised release and a fine of $200, according to the New York Times.

Key Aspects of Supervised Release

Supervised release means that U.S. Probation Officers monitor the person to make sure court-imposed conditions are met, to ensure community safety, and may include restrictions on travel and paying restitution.

Perry was found dead at his home on Oct. 28, 2023, after his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, had injected him with at least three shots of ketamine he bought from Fleming and the drug dealer, Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the “ketamine queen.”

He was in his hot tub at the time, and the cause of death was caused by the “acute effects” of ketamine, which can lead to a complete loss of consciousness or coma. Users taking high doses may experience a “K-hole” which is an intense state of detachment, immobility, and disorientation, often compared to an out-of-body or near-death experience.

Perry was 54.

Fleming Publicly Apologized to Perry’s Family

“To Matt’s family, I am very sorry for my inexcusable behavior in this case,” Mr. Fleming wrote in a letter attached to his sentencing memorandum.

“I take full responsibility for my criminal acts. I hope my sentence provides some measure of justice and peace for everyone who loved Matt.”

Therapeutic Levels of Ketamine

Following three seasons at Jacksonville State, wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner has signed with the Saints. Brock is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Rechsteiner, better known as "Scott Steiner" during his wrestling career.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Rechsteiner caught 36 passes for 383 yards and five touchdowns in his final season with the Gamecocks. Rechsteiner helped Jacksonville State to a victory over the Troy Trojans in the 2025 Salute to Veterans Bowl.

In 2024, he had 16 catches for 241 yards and two touchdowns. The Gamecocks reached the Cure Bowl, losing 30-27 to the Ohio Bobcats.

Scott's other son, Brandon Rechsteiner, is a guard for the Colorado State Rams' basketball team. He averaged 12.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in 34 games last season.

Scott and his brother, Rick, formed the iconic "Steiner Brothers" tag team in 1988. They became one of the most decorated wrestling duos ever, winning two WWE tag team championships and the WCW world tag team championship seven times.

Growing up the son of an NBA player and chasing accolades, hoping that the next one would finally cure the darkness: “I always talk about trying to achieve my way out of depression... and my brain would just go back to the same level it was at prior.”

The Panic Attack that Led To Recovery

During a game in 2017, Love started to feel the beginning of a panic attack, but he wasn’t sure what was happening and thought it might be his heart.

“Am I going to die?”

Collapsing in the training room, convinced he was dying, he rushed to the Cleveland Clinic, only to be told he was physically fine. The aftermath brought shame, agoraphobia, and the fear that his only safe haven was gone.

But partly inspired by DeMar DeRozan's quiet public admission of his own struggle, Love decided to write an essay that would change his life and the conversation around mental health in professional sports. His agent warned him it would change everything.

After his personal spiral, his motto became: "You can't use me against me now."

On the Other Side of Panic Attacks

Love has found the tools and support to help him when feelings of unease arise.

“I’m proud of myself. I’ve given myself more grace. It helps to connect the dots [from the origins of his panic, his childhood],” he said.

He’s also thinking ahead, toward retirement after basketball. Love has developed new hobbies and skills, so that his sense of purpose and identity are not just wrapped around playing ball.

Breaking The Stigma: The Kevin Love Fund

Once he sought mental health treatments and started to feel better, Love was inspired to help others. He developed the Kevin Love Fund, which provides free, evidence-based social-emotional learning curricula to schools, giving kids the emotional vocabulary he never had.

“They might not have the language to express themselves. They have either two feelings: I'm angry, or I'm fine. And there's a lot of emotion in between.”

Julie Chen Moonves will return as host as a new group of Houseguests moves in for what is being described as "unexpected moments and a season packed with twists and turns." CBS did not specify whether the cast will consist entirely of new players. (Last season saw the return of Big Brother 13 winner Rachel Reilly.)

According to the network, the upcoming installment will feature the “most programming hours ever” in franchise history as the series prepares to hit its milestone 1,000th episode. Notably, the press release also made no mention of the premiere being live.

Following the 90-minute premiere and a special 90-minute Sunday episode on July 12, the long-running series will then settle into its regular schedule, featuring 90-minute Wednesday episodes and hour-long Sunday and Thursday broadcasts, the latter of which will include the live eviction.

Meanwhile,Big Brother: Unlockedis also making a comeback after debuting during Season 27. The companion series will feature exclusive footage, extended interviews, behind-the-scenes content and surprise guests.

CBS has not yet confirmed whether Season 16 winner Derrick Levasseur and Season 24 winner Taylor Hale will return as hosts. However, sources tell me both are expected to be invited back. Unlocked will also feature a live studio audience yet further details remain unclear.

As usual, live feeds from inside the house will be available to stream on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.

Big Brother 28 premieres Thursday, July 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

This is the second sibling death Sharon Stone has suffered in recent years.

Her younger brother Patrick passed away from sudden cardiac death at the age of 57 in 2023.

The eldest of the Stone siblings, Michael was not nearly as famous as his sister, but accumulated numerous acting credits in his own right over the years.

He made his on-screen debut in the 1990 film End of the Night. Stone returned to acting in 1995, playing a counselor in the movie The Quick and the Dead.

Tributes flood in

Stone's fans and entertainment colleagues have been inundating the comments section of her post offering condolences and tributes for her brother.

"I’m so sorry Sharon. ❤️I hope you’re surrounded by love, support and as much peace as possible during this hard transition. ❤️," said author Steffani LeFevour.

"So so sorry S💔," added actress Debra Messing.

"Sharon, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers ❤️," another commenter wrote.

"May you walk gently through this time of loss and grief…." a fourth person chimed in.

"Sharon, I’m so sorry. You and your family are close in my prayers," chimed in actress Kathy Ireland, who also shared a bible verse.

Their fifth album, The Joshua Tree, really put them on the global map. It's still their greatest critical and commercial success, and one of the best-selling albums of all time. Released on March 9, 1987, the record yielded five singles, two of which are the group's only songs to reach No. 1 in the United States.

Stereogumpraised it for hitting "all the marks that power ballads are supposed to hit—the soft beginning, the slow ramp-up, the eventual catharsis."

In addition to taking the crown on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, U2's first US hit ranked No. 1 on six other weekly global charts. It went Platinum in eight countries and Gold in four.

Centenario Tri-Nation Fútbol Reposado Tequila

Gran Centenario has debuted a new tequila for the games. The black-and-gold bottle is a tribute to the Mexican National Team’s “de oro” jerseys (or “of gold”). One side of the bottle displays the Mexican National Team’s official crests throughout its history and the famous “Vamos México” rally cry on the other. There’s also a soccer ball with the words “3 nations, 3 barrels” underneath.

This news is certainly a shock to many who have been following the case, as the evidence against Alex was rather compelling. Even those who didn’t watch the ins and outs of the trial had built their fair share of suspicion after watching Netflix’s Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal and/or HBO Max’s Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty. So why did the highest court in South Carolina ultimately decide to overturn Alex’s convictions? 

Alex Murdaugh Was “Denied His Right to Fair Trial” 

Per an NBC News report, on May 13, the South Carolina Supreme Court ruled that the Colleton County Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill had placed “her fingers on the scales of justice,” and accused her of “shocking jury interference.”  Voting unanimously, the members of the high state court believed Hill had an “improper” influence on the jury, which made it impossible for Alex to have a fair trial. 

Now, this news isn’t a complete win for Alex. While the court overturned the previous convictions, they also ordered that he face a new trial for the murders of his wife and son. As of publication, a new trial date has yet to be announced.

The short answer to this question is no. While he’s technically no longer been convicted of murder, he still has to serve a prison sentence. Back in 2024, Alex was convicted of 22 federal financial crimes and was sentenced to spend 40 years in prison. So he won’t be walking the streets as a free man any time soon. The first country is the most obvious, as almost every regular-season game will be played in the United States. Country number two has also seen the NFL many times, as England has hosted games since 2007. The Colts will play the Commanders at Tottenham Stadium in Week 4, and then the stadium will host Jaguars-Eagles in Week 5. In Week 6, the Jaguars will play in England again, taking on the Texans in Wembley Stadium to round out the London schedule.

In Week 1, the NFL will take the game down under, hosting the first-ever NFL game in Australia. The Rams will take on the 49ers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has a larger capacity than any NFL stadium. MCG has over 100,000 seats, making it the 11th-largest stadium in the world.

In another first, the Steelers and Saints will play in Paris, France. The Week 7 contest at State De France will be the first time the NFL plays in the country. The NFL will also be returning to the European cities it played in 2025, with the Bengals and Falcons playing in Madrid, Spain, in Week 9, and the Patriots and Lions facing off in Munich, Germany, in Week 10. The NFL will also return to Brazil for the second year in a row, with the Cowboys and Ravens facing off in Rio De Janeiro in Week 3.

The final country the NFL will play in is the closest, returning to Mexico for the first time since 2022. The first game south of the border in three years will be the 49ers and the Vikings facing off in Week 11, finishing off the NFL's international slate. The game will be hosted at Estadio Azteca, where the previous NFL games in the country have been played.

During Monday’s episode, Kimmel revealed the group would release a surprise new podcast episode, marking the first installment since the show originally ended in 2023.

“We’re going to do an emergency episode of Strike Force Five,” Colbert told the audience to loud cheers.

The reunion arrives during an emotional moment for late-night television. Colbert previously announced that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will officially end on May 21, closing another major chapter in the traditional late-night TV era.

Going out with a bang

Entitled "Goodnight, Seattle," the Frasier finale was a double episode airing 22 years ago tonight, one week after the final episode of Friends. It drew over 25 million viewers, making it the show's most-watched installment in nearly four years.

To this day, Frasier fans still debate the way the series ended. Despite the ambiguity, Entertainment Weekly naming "Goodbye, Seattle" the ninth-best television series finale of all time.

A short-lived reboot

Frasier was revived by Paramount+ in 2023. Unfortunately, the reboot lasted only two seasons, getting cancelled in 2024, much to the chagrin of Grammer.

“I mean, obviously, they didn’t really promote or spend much time on it," Grammer told the New York Post at the time.

"The fellow that worked at Paramount Plus when we first sold the show there left, and so it sort of fell into their laps, the next administration, without having any real conscious and what to do with it. So I think they gave it sort of a good try, but they weren’t particularly passionate about the project.”

Following the release of Michael, a number of Michael Jackson songs have seen a streaming surge over the past couple of weeks, but it makes sense that the biggest gainer would be his biggest song of all time.

43 years after its initial release, "Billie Jean" has re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed all the way to No. 17 on the charts, topping songs like "Opalite" by Taylor Swift and "Yukon" by Justin Bieber.

The song has been dominating the Spotify charts, as well, as it currently sits as the No. 2 most-streamed song across the globe, behind only Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat," which saw a resurgence following his Coachella performance last month.

Needless to say, it's clear that Michael Jackson remains the King of Pop, even decades after some of his songs were released.

Why 'Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp' Was Banned

In May 2019, The Verge reported that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp users in Belgium would soon lose the ability to play the mobile game. After the Belgian Gaming Commission issued an opinion that stated loot boxes in video games were illegal gambling under the country's laws, it was effectively banned. The ruling stemmed from the commission's belief that loot boxes required players to pay real money for random awards, which they deemed to be gambling. They also noted that loot boxes in games popular with minors are especially problematic.

The game would remain banned in the country until it was shut down and replaced with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete on December 2, 2024. That version of the game is played offline and has a pay-up-front model that removes the use of loot boxes, which allowed it to be played in the country. 'Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp' Was a Huge Success Before and After the Ban

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was originally released worldwide on November 21, 2017, and it became a huge hit immediately. On the same day, Nintendo Everything reported that the game hit No. 1 on the iOS game chart in eight countries: the United States, Japan, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, and Luxembourg.

After the ban, the game went on to enjoy an even higher level of success. In May 2020, Polygon reported that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camphad its biggest month ever with more than 7.1 million downloads worldwide. It wasn't a coincidence that it had a surge in popularity at that time. Instead, the massive peak in downloads came at the same time that Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released, making the franchise highly relevant.
