The Hong Kong/Zhuhai/Macau Bridge – Hong Kong
The 34-mile bridge/tunnel system known as the Hong Kong/Zhuhai/Macau Bridge (HZMB) is both the longest sea crossing and the longest open-sea fixed link in the world. It consists of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands. Completed and opened in February 2018, the whole system cost nearly $19 billion to build.
