Bear Grylls made his fortune being outside: eating animal poop; slicing open snakes, tromping through the wilderness with celebrities, a President, and athletes.
So how does a man bring his charisma, love a nature, and survivalist know-how to the masses? Put some walls and a roof up and welcome them inside!
Merlin Entertainments, one of the largest theme park companies in the world, announced plans to build a $26 million theme park in England called “Bear Grylls Adventure.”
Here is how they describe the place: “The attraction, which will cost approximately £20 million to build, will take inspiration from Bear’s real-life adventures across mountains, deserts and jungles around the world and bring them all under one roof.”
And here is Grylls on the news: “It has been an unbelievable journey to work with Merlin Entertainments to bring so many iconic, one-of-a-kind adventures, all together under one roof.”
Those adventures include a very tall ropes course, rock-climbing wall, and indoor skydiving.
I, for one, cannot wait to take in all the wonders of Bear Grylls’ outdoor adventures “under one roof.” Makes sense.
