Katy Trail, St. Charles, MissouriMore Info
Drive half an hour outside downtown St. Louis, and you’ll find the start of the Katy Trail, the longest rail-trail in the country. It stretches 240 miles across the state of Missouri, and the crushed limestone path makes for great riding as you move from suburban St. Louis out into the countryside, following the Missouri River. The route passes through wetlands, prairie, and towering bluffs along the river, so there’s plenty to see as you pedal.
