Eleven Point River, Missouri
Float Through the Ozarks
Eight waterways were named National Wild and Scenic Rivers in 1968, the first year the vaunted federal designation was enacted. One of them you’ve likely never heard of: the Eleven Point River, which flows under steep bluffs and past massive freshwater springs that dump in millions of gallons of cold water. The 44-mile Wild and Scenic stretch is packed with smallmouth and trout, and you should have no problem finding a campsite along the undeveloped shore.
