Goblin Valley State Park, Utah
Get Lost in a Mars-Like Desert Landscape
The 3,600-acre Goblin Valley State Park, about a two-hour drive west of Moab, features thousands of hoodoos, layered spires of partially eroded sandstone that resemble alien creatures. Spend a day carousing this otherworldly landscape, then stay in one of the park’s 25 campsites. Also, make sure to canyoneer one of the slot canyons of the nearby San Rafael Swell.
