Run with a Donkey
Burro racing is basically a footrace—except that runners are attached by rope to a 500-pound animal that may or, more often, may not want to head in the right direction. The Super Bowl of these races takes place each summer in Fairplay, where contestants must coax their burro, with- out mounting it, 30 miles up and down Mosquito Pass, in the Pike and San Isabel National Forests, for a chance at ass-racing glory.
