Intel: Packed size – 12”x4”; weight – 2 lb. 14 oz.; load capacity – 300 lbs.; price – $119.95: (www.thermarest.com)
Stout and comfortable. I like the bombproof shell container the chair fits inside – well protected and easy to stow. It elevates some 13” off the ground for easy exits, has stout tubing and solid, weight-bearing sockets for the frame to fit into and support up to 300 lbs. Also comes with a side pocket for your reading book or other nick-knacks. Of all the chairs I tested, this one felt the most comfortable and supportive to my back. Heavier overall weight was compensated for by the compact, easy to pack smooth cylinder container (about the size of a quart water bottle).
