DeepFlight
The ultra-luxury Fijian resort of Laucala Island was the first property in the world to debut the DeepFlight Super Falcon when it began offering trips into the crystalline South Pacific last October. Rather than sink downward, this winged submersible “flies into the ocean” with unparalleled speed, range and agility, gliding to depths of up to 400 feet with a pilot and passenger in tow. The new toy is a fittingly lavish addition to this over-the-top private island escape, owned by Red Bull CEO Dietrich Mateschitz. Use of the DeepFlight Super Falcon is included in the all-inclusive rates, which start at a cool $4,600 per night for a one-bedroom villa.
