Undersea Hunter
Anyone who books a 10-day sailing trip to Costa Rica’s Cocos Island with live-aboard dive outfit Undersea Hunter will have the opportunity to take the company’s DeepSee sub down to a depth of 1,000 feet (for a supplemental fee of $1,850). DeepSee is a one-atmosphere sub capable of carrying a pilot and two everyday aquanauts to the bottom of the ocean, all while offering a 360-degree field of vision out its bubble-like Plexiglas sphere. Tourists on a 2.5-hour dive to the depths of the tropical Pacific can expect to find rare fish, corals and fauna uniquely adapted to life in complete darkness.
